Beacon Lakes Golf Club receives praise for its scenic layout and friendly staff, with some visitors appreciating the course's potential and the helpfulness of the personnel. However, there are recurring criticisms regarding the course's maintenance, including bumpy fairways and unkempt tee boxes, as well as reports of disorganized management and inconsistent pricing. Most of the bad reviews about this place are absolute bs in my opinion. Played here for the first time 2 weeks ago. Teed off at 6pm so only got to finish 8 holes. I was so impressed with the course conditions and layout, that i had to come back the following morning to play all 18 holes. This course was nothing at all like most of the reviews say it is. The greens were meticulously maintained without a dead blade of grass on any of the greens. The fairways were in good shape, except for some areas where wild pigs have made them bumpy, but it didnt affect play for me. The back 9 is unbelievably…

Just like the reviews below, nothing but crappy service. I show up to play a round and the pro shop is closed. I stand around a minute then some guy in a cart rolls up to me and asks "what you got?" Uhhh... was looking to play some golf guy... "oh we closed and no driving range"...... website says you don't close for another three hours. Good thing there's other places who want my money.

Where do I even start? I just called and asked for Management about a problem we had last night. I was asked who I was, to which I said a customer. You could hear the manager in the background telling them to take a message, “I don’t wanna talk right now.” Real professional. I told him I would put it online for him at that point. Hi buddy doing what I said i would do for you since you didn’t want to take my phone call. My buddy called and booked a tee time Sunday, the day before, for 5:45pm Monday, as he was told after 6 o’clock, you cannot play 18 holes. We arrived and Devon checks all three…

Golf cart, how about an ATV to traverse the "fairways." There's nothing "fair" about them. The greens are poorly maintained, and several were bumpy, with one of them having a 2' pothole. Way overpriced for the poor quality of course, which is a shame because it has very pretty scenery. The course has tremendous potential. However, in its current condition, I don't recommend paying to play here. These pictures are from hole #5. We could barely find our ball amidst the thick crap grass in the middle of the fairway. I hope that someone can turn this around because it's in a great location and can…

I've been here before, so I didn't have expectations of nice course conditions. I was right. Terrible greens. Bad fairways. But what was so very disappointing, was the unprofessional, rude guy who took our money. I've played for over 40 years. Sure, I've encountered arrogant, unpleasant staff before. But this guy, well- I won't be coming back. He's the definition of arrogant. And for no reason. He just doesn't get it. Go elsewhere my friends.

Absolutely horrible golf course. Fairways are so bumpy you cannot drive on them and tee boxes are not kept up. No mowing had been done and they blamed it on rain but the ground was dry and hard. Both of us were way over senior age but charged different rates, both much higher than the city courses around.I quit going a year ago but someone told me it was better now. They lied! It is worse.

This is probably the worst golf course in Houston. They were unorganized and owner was extremely rude. Ruined the experience for myself and my friends. Their tee time booking process is old school so booking through them is a mess. Owner blamed me for his mistake in booking me for a wrong date. DO NOT COME HERE!! If I could rate it a zero I would

I read the reviews and only decided to go play this course because they could fit me in. Pace of play was a little slow, but that isn't the courses fault. I thought this course was way better than the reviews lead me to believe. Not the best course I have played on, but they also did not have an issue with me playing solo. I will return back for some more me time!

Course is in terrible condition. Teeboxes hard as a rock and unmaintained. Sand bunkers full of grass and weeds. Fairways bumpy. Started 35 min late for our tee time cuz the 1st hole was stacked 4 groups deep waiting to start. Then told, we had to leave after 12 holes cuz the couse was closing, and couldn't refund us for the for the golf we weren't allowed to play. Range and practice green are fine but no chipping allowed.

I played this course a lot when I was in middle school. Decided I would take my little one out for a day out with me and her dad to get some practice in. (I did this every weekend with my parents growing up) The course was very busy which I completely understand and agreed she would hit her driver and then pick up and play either the next shot where my ball laid or just go to the green to keep the pace up of the game. We called ahead and had a tee time of 2:30 and we got there around 1:40. We went inside and paid and not even 15 minutes later we were being yelled at by the golf pro to go and t…

The course has up and down conditions depending on weather. The guy who runs the course is one of the most unpleasant and unfriendly people I have ever met. The clubhouse looks like a golf swap meet from 1998. The best thing they have to offer are the two cats that always say hello and love scratches. They put mats out on the range so it is usable in wetter conditions, so there is that. So.... I still go here... They never seem to be consistent with timing...I pulled up to use the evening driving range...one guy told me to wait 10 minutes to see if they would let us buy a bucket of range balls…
