In summary

Frog Rock Golf & Country Club is appreciated for its affordability and suitability for beginners, offering a basic course layout with wide fairways and minimal hazards. However, some visitors have raised concerns about the lack of tee time organization, which can lead to issues with course flow and safety, as well as reports of unprofessional staff interactions. The club's facilities receive mixed reviews, with some enjoying the friendly atmosphere and dining options, while others feel improvements in management and course maintenance are needed.

I'm a newer golfer and go here regularly. It's not the best or most well maintained course in the world, but it's $35 for 18 holes with a cart, can't beat that. And I understand they don't do tee times here, but I wish there were some rules regarding skipping holes and jumping ahead of golfers. If I get up early to be here first and I'm the first person to tee off playing by myself to then to be stuck behind a group of 2, 3, 4 guys that came later and decided to just skip the first few holes is really annoying. It's happening more and more and people come late and see a line of carts at the fi…

Ladies and young golfers beware!!! I am so unhappy about what just transpired at this golf course that I feel compelled to write a review. I was dropping my son and his two friends off to golf and we had the worst experience with the worker/manager/owner inside. They were unable to golf with a cart because the one boy who is 17 had forgotten his ID. Since they have homecoming tonight, they would have been unable to walk the course so they decide to leave. (I understand the rule and that is why we were leaving to go home). HOWEVER, I pull up to pick them up and the gentleman from inside FOLLOWS…

While this course is showing a little wear and tear because it is late in the summer with little rain (yesterday for my round the heat index was 110), it is a great course for the casual golfer; lots of wide, generous fairways and not a lot of sand or water hazards. There are some less than flattering reviews for this course but hey, if you want to spend 3x or more to play a round because the course is pretty - have at it.

The best price for 18 with a cart, and now I know why! This is a very rough course that is perfect for teaching kids and beginner hackers. Great value, not a polished course.

The food is always delicious. But, just as important is the atmosphere created by the wonderful people. Everyone from the owner Rock, servers, runners and the many, many guests (more like family) make you feel welcome. There isn't anything Rock wouldn't do to make sure your evening at his restaurant was the best it could be. Believe me when I say (within the realm of reality), No request is to large a task for Rock, Ray the Chef or the staff. Thank you to them all.

Greens are not the greatest but what do want for $35 and a cart. Great play to practice and learn how to play.

A great place to practice for harder tracts. The price is right and still enough challenge to make it fun. 13 is the right number for the hole pictured, can be Hell to play.

The course was fun and scenic, but the guy at the window was so aggressive and rude from the moment we got there. Never told us what time we had to be done but chased us down with the golf cart telling us we had to go at 7. Also, not one of the tee box's were actually marked on the scorecard. Which is cool, but I'd like it if the aggressive meanie at the window would've told us.

my girlfriend got charged full price for just sitting in the cart. I find it ridiculous the reason I can never bring her with me again is because “other people ruined it for everyone” by golfing as riders. How about hire a ranger? Or a grounds crew? Maybe you wouldn’t lose money on your course if you actually paid someone to work there. I love Rocco he’s the best but he needs to hire a few more people.

I went to Frog Rock with a friend of mine who did not have clubs, Frog Rock doesn't rent out clubs, which is fine, We had to go get him clubs because mine are left-handed. We had to go about 20 minutes away. I tried to pay for a cart, so we had one when we got back. They said no, I had to be in it to rent it. So we went and got clubs and went to Hamminton Trails, which was closer to Dicks sporting goods. I played that course before and would have loved for my friend to play there, but we were denied a very easy solution to our dilemma, which was driving 20 minutes away to get clubs and possibl…

Prices just went up from $25 to $35 per person. So instead of paying $50 for two people, it is now $70. This course is not worth the price anymore. I used to go a few times a month to play golf. Time to find a different course.

TLDR; Love the course but lack of organization & club expectation sometimes attracts a disrespectful crowd that do not respect the flow of golf and end in dangerous situations. Club doesn't stagger tee times, people get impatient waiting for others to clear the course. I got hit on the course by people behind us. Club didn't care to return my phone call. Bruise photos attached day 1 vs day 6. As a year 2 beginner who plays with experienced friends, Frog Rock used to be a good spot to get the feel of real play without the pressure of a country club or slowing down more skilled players. I shoul…
