What People Say

In summary

Pinelands Golf Course is frequently praised for its well-maintained greens, challenging layout, and friendly staff, contributing to a premium experience reminiscent of a private club. The course offers a variety of amenities, including a driving range, practice greens, and a popular restaurant, Twisted Tavern, which enhances the overall visit. However, some visitors have noted issues with certain areas of the course needing improvement, dynamic pricing, and occasional slow pace of play.

Best local course around. Amazing setup, 18 quality holes, good driving range and even better practice greens for chipping and putting. To top it off they added the perfect simulator set up too. If you want to get treated like a premium member at a public course Pinelands is the way to go. Dave and Mason will take care of you every single time and set the example with the rest of staff. Could not say a bad word about this place that just seems to keep getting better and better!

It's a great golf course. When it's fully open during the golfing season. That's the only reason I gave it four stars. During the season it's a five-star easy.

The course has potential but not there. If all the holes looked like 16 (the picture I uploaded), then this would be a great course and worth what they charge. Unfortunately the Greens were the only consistent nice part as after the 30 yards around them, there’s no rough, it’s just rocks and dirt/sand which one shot in the “rough” had rocks under the grass and dented my club. The fairway is half grass, half sand. The new tee boxes on the back 9 look nice but still a few weeks out so had to play the tees from the fairway wish they should’ve told us as they still charged us $70 and not worth tha…

Great course! Fun layout and the conditions couldn’t really get any better. First time playing it today and will definitely be back!

I was invited to play here this past Saturday kind of last minute to fill out a foursome. I'm about an hour north of this course so it wasn't really on my radar - had no idea what to expect. I had never been to Pinelands before. When we pulled in, it reminded me of a country club atmosphere, in a good way. Everyone was well dressed and it seemed very orderly. We paid up and went over to the range to hit balls. The range was good. Practice green was fine. The staters were great at informing us of where we were in terms of when to be ready to go to first tee. The course itself was very nice and…

This is a great course. It’s not so wide open, but I also wouldn’t say it’s to narrow. The tree lines are perfect. If you’re more into bunker play, there aren’t to many bunkers but there are a few. They never came into play for me, except the 18th hole. I shot my lowest score ever on the course yesterday. 81 which for me is great. What I really enjoyed about this course was there are 5 par 3’s and 5 par 5s. What I did not like about the course was- they open at 7. My tee time was 7:36 so I got there for open and I wanted to hit some balls. I got a bucket and the mowers were mowing the lawn by…

This old course has quickly become the best public course around south Jersey. Especially when you factor in the affordability. This course has come a long way from what he once was thank you to new ownership. From the fairways to the greens I don’t think there is a weed in sight!

I love this place. The food is so good I eat here all the time. The setting is so pretty with a view of the sunset on the course. The servers and bartenders are so nice. We usually visit when Olivia is working she makes the best drinks. Tonight I had Sam and she was awesome. I always recommend this place to everyone.

Pinelands recently was purchased and they’ve been working to improve it which will help. Greens and fairways are impeccable, the fringes and areas under trees need work, but they are working on it so it’s good to see. $39 for a Friday afternoon rate is great for how close it is to Philly. Was a little crowded but that’s what you get for a nice day of Friday golf. They also have a bar and restaurant.

Not the same with new ownership. Course was in decent condition, but no effort was being made to clean the leaves on the course or on the greens. Planned on eating afterwards, but restaurant was closed. Was told that they are still trying to figure it out.

Avid golfer here having played some of Americas top 100 courses. Found Pinelands last minute, expectations blown away for the price! Off the greens need a little work (in process), but great course layout, in-play conditions solid, definite North Carolina vibes. Tops even Pine Needles
