In summary

The Golf Club at Gray is frequently praised for its beautifully maintained course, stunning setting, and friendly, professional staff. Many golfers appreciate the challenging yet enjoyable layout and the reasonable rates for the quality of the experience. However, some visitors have noted issues with course maintenance, particularly the greens, and occasional dissatisfaction with staff interactions, particularly regarding pace of play.

All around amazing course. Staff are great, cart service was wonderful, and the views and setting of the course are tremendous. Of the two sister courses, Old Greenwood definitely takes the cake but Grays crossing is tremendous as well and always gets my recommendation. Some very getable holes, depending on your distance and tee you can maybe drive a couple of the Par4s. Greens were flying this day but was faster than normal, and not always the case. Very fun course, wonderfully kept, recommend to anyone.

The facility and its staff were very accommodating. The check oh staff were confused because we came over earlier for our round of Golf. We wanted to hit balls and putt before we had lunch. The restaurant was vet clear and helpful. We told them that we were going to play at a certain time and the serve our wonderful means in a very fast time. The golf course was excellent except the bunkers. But we all know that bunkers take lost of money and staff to create excellent bunkers. Our club has spent 2million trying to get the best bunkers. I think our tee time was at the back of a slow outside tour…

Rally really nice course. We looped around and played 36 and in between rounds sat in the bar and had a drink and tasty French dip sandwich. I will make a this one of my go to courses in the Tahoe area for sure!

Given that it is $200+ golf round, I was bit disappointed with condition of greens filled with all kinds of leaves tree branches and seeds from the tree. Would expect the course to maintain it.

What an incredible course! Great staff. Course is in superb condition! Greens are super fast! Don’t believe the rating, it’s much harder than that.

I played both Old Greenwood and Gray’s Crossing on 7/4 and 7/5. Both courses are tournament grade courses. Courses are in great shape tees to greens. Personally, I like Gray’s Crossing better because of the layout and the view. Staffs are very friendly. Had a wonderful time.

Played from the tips yesterday, my buddy and I had a fun round, especially on the 6th hole. I used a rescue hybrid from 314 yards, downhill and downwind. Three guys in front had just walked off the green. I hit a nice baby draw and the rest is history. Those guys were yelling like crazy but we couldn't understand if they were pissed or elated! The damn ball rolled in for an ALBATROSS!

It's in great shape. The staff is welcoming and tee times are accurate. The practice area is very good. I find the 18th a bit daughting. Maybe there's an alternative tee box? We always enjoy the course.

The pacer play was excellent. The greens were in great shape so were the fairways. The rough is tough, but that’s what you get for not hitting the short errors.

The course, the layout and practice facility were in okay shape. Previous year's have been better. Sadly, our day was ruined by the staff. The same crumby experience as other reviewers. The marshall is extremely rude and head pro not much better. Hole 9 and 13 were asked to speed up. The group behind was at least a hole back on both occasions. When asked why we were being nudged, the marshall dug in and things escalated from there. The confrontation was impossible to shrug off. Look elsewhere if you're expecting destination golf hospitality.

Gray's needs water at the range or first tee for drinking. Also brushes at the club cleaning station. AND good sunscreen available at the range. Old Greenwood has all that, why not Gray's?

Beautiful lux spot and shocking no one is there in the mornings or noon hours… even on weekends.
