In summary

Grand Traverse Resort is praised for its well-maintained golf courses, scenic views, and a wide range of amenities, including an indoor water park and spa facilities, which cater to both families and adults. The staff generally receives positive feedback for their friendliness and helpfulness, enhancing the overall guest experience. However, some visitors have noted issues with room amenities, such as outdated appliances and occasional service lapses, which detract from an otherwise enjoyable stay.

First time staying at Grand Traverse Resort. Property is nice. Ok location but you’re really outside of town (if that’s important). We had 6 of us, so we booked one of the cottages overlooking the golf course. Nice views, easy in/out and parking. Lots of amenities in the main complex. Only real complaint was the housekeeping. 6 people in a 3-bed/2-bath unit and we ran out of toilet paper in less than 2 days. Called and asked for more, they sent 1 roll. 6 people in a 2 bathroom unit and they sent 1 roll. Fortunately we got by before leaving, but it just seemed ridiculous. It’s not 2020, I think…

Hi. We stayed at the tower at the hotel on 12th floor yesterday. Room and staff great. Room had great view of Lake Michigan. Room could have been a little better. Items needing to be solved or fixed: (1)Pop machine across from the room was completely out of soda. Plus $4 per soda is to much. Maybe $3 is better. (2)Coffee maker is terrible, like 20 years old. Has small 1 inch gauge on the back top side for water measure and you pour what you think is measure on the side but usually overfills cup and make a big mess. It's 2026, buy a single use Keurig and get with it. They work perfect and no me…

The hotel is well run, rooms are large, have great views, and have all the amenities. The pool and saunas in the spa are wonderful. You have to ask to get access to the locker room and has the little sauna's and showers, but it's certainly a nice upgrade. So far the only problem I found is the TV is not a smart TV, old style with pay-per-view, but not a big deal.

Excellent, inviting with beautiful scenery. Staff is friendly and helpful. NiiJii restaurant breakfast was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend the Maple French Toast. If you like a warm cinnamon roll you will love the French Toast. The breakfast potatoes were nicely seasoned with a slight crunch but soft and creamy inside and I usually don't like breakfast potatoes at all. Kudos to Sheri our server and Crissy the manager. We were a bit surprised that the full menu was not available on weekends and one item listed online was not available. However to our surprise, Crissy went to the bakery…

I just can't give this place a better rating. Room was fine, but climate control would not make the room any warmer than 68 degrees. We stayed for new years eve. Went to the Aerie restaurant on the top floor. Place was cold, though there were heaters at the tables. Still was cold. Some of the food came out luke warm/cold. It was not, in any way, worth $125 per person. The wine menu was a bit ridiculous with some wine glasses over $25. I guess if the food was better maybe it would make more sense. The sports bar was cozy, but the bartenders were just off. There were a few people in there sitt…

Hotel was very nice. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The pools were amazing, its crazy swimming in a warm pool in freezing weather. Awesome experience. Overall had a great time. Will go back.

We recently stayed at the Grand Traverse Resort for a family trip with our kids, and overall it was a great experience that offered something for everyone. The highlight for our children was definitely the indoor water fun area. Having an indoor water park attached to the resort made it easy to keep the kids entertained regardless of the weather. Between the slides, splash areas, and pool features, they never got bored and were excited to go back each day. For the adults, the golf and tennis amenities really stood out. The resort’s golf courses are well-maintained and scenic, offering a chall…

Had a Zoning board conference there and enjoyed the set up. Well organized and planned. Location is great, lots of parking, many shopping options inside. I didn’t stay overnight, but it looked like a nice place to stay. They have a restaurant on site, a full bar, an ATM, a gym and a pool, jacuzzi, fun water slides for kids, lots to do!

Nicole, Luciana, and David Baker at the Health Club couldn’t have made my daughter and son’s experience at the club any greater! The kids and I made ourselves right at home in lobby cozied up by the fireplace between The waterpark the fine dining. The staff made us feel welcomed, accepted, and even the windows were clean! Definitely made gave us the wow factor that made for great memories!

I didn't stay here but drove around the property. It is outside of the main part of town. So easy access. Plenty of parking. The people that I know that did go in say it's really nice although it is on the higher priced end of course because it's a resort. I did notice that the golf course was very well maintained even in early April it looked green and ready to go.

The resort is wonderful. Visited for a conference. Plenty of onsite parking. The entire property is clean and well maintained. The rooms are comfortable and well aquatinted. The only negative I have is the woman at the reception desk when I checked in was not very friendly. Everyone else I interacted with onsite was friendly and very helpful. The only negative is Jacks Grill and getting into the elevator. If the bar is busy it can be hard to get in and out of the elevator.

My best friend and I visited this resort for a girls' relaxation weekend, and we were very excited. Unfortunately, our experience turned out to be quite disappointing in several key areas. Food: Although the resort's website advertises multiple onsite restaurants, several were closed for the season during our stay. On Saturday, only one dining option, Jack’s Taproom, was available for lunch, offering a very limited menu consisting mostly of burgers and pizza. We passed by Niigiri at 12:45 PM, but it was closed until dinner despite having a breakfast buffet in the morning. It seems unusual fo…
