Many visitors enjoy the friendly staff and amenities like the clubhouse and food offerings. Nice course. Enjoyed the rolling hills and tree lined fairways. They started a Friday Night Couples Tournament which may be a frequent event this summer. Awesome Pizza and Draft Beer on Tap to finish your visit.

Short older gentleman was extremely rude before we even started golfing. My husband and son stayed and golfed but we left. If they don’t allow spectators, it should be made extremely clear when booking tee times. Even if he would have asked us nicely to not ride along, that would have been disappointing but understandable. He came up on us aggressively with a horrible attitude. We will be golfing else where from now on.

Clubhouse A Tee boxes C- Fairways C Greens F-- You can't even putt several greens. They put them on a 15 degree slope and no way to stop your ball on glass like finish with wind today. We had to just call 2 putt on 8 and 17. Never golfing here again. I get that it's a short course but you literally could 10 putt these two greens at least. Just ridiculous. I had a very short putt and that missed by 1 inch and rolled 30 feet of the green after I had a perfect chip that almost hit the pin but also rolled 30 feet off the green. The worst course I've ever played. Even really nice courses like Veenk…

Great public golf course and it's in good condition. There are a few fairways and greens close together but lots of mature trees keep you out of neighboring fairways.

Very nice golf course and challenging even though it's a shorter course. The greens are very tough, tougher than a lot of the courses in the Des Moines metro area. I enjoy playing there because I can usually play 18 holes in under 3 hours even on busy days. I have played it many times alone or with a friend in 2 hours when it's not as busy!!! Great overall challenging course. 😃

Poor customer service. Shorter, Older gentleman at the front desk was unfriendly from the beginning and made this an extremely poor experience. Not a welcoming experience at all. He alone is the reason I will not be returning. Also worth noting that you will be charged an additional $20 fee for an individual to ride along. The course itself is well kept but very crowded. Feels as if you’re playing on top of one another.

Forcing people to sign up for an account to see your tee times is stupid. I’m from out of town and just wanted to see if there were spots an upcoming trip. Instead I just skipped your course completely and went somewhere else. And then had to waste 5 minutes making this post out of principle. Is it really that important to get my email, phone and the ability to spam me BEFORE I even decide if I want to play your course? Booooooo! 👎🏻

Love the pro golf store - great 9h. Can be confusing at times with so many greens together; you could end on total different green.

Enjoyable course! Some holes are side by side, so you may end up in another group's fairway if you're still learning. The greens rolled a bit for us. The greens with a slant caused the ball to roll 10+ feet right off the green with a light tap. Specifically happened with hole 17 for us. Overall, it is a good course.

Short middle aged guy at the desk was rude and over charged me. As well as charged extra for someone to ride along while at other Des Moines public courses they don’t charge you for this.

This is a real gem in the city of Des Moines. Always in good shape. The course is for the most part fair and manageable for the average golfer. However, some of the greens are very difficult, mostly #3 and #8. #17 is probably most difficult hole. Staff is awesome and so is the pizza in the clubhouse.
