This is an absolute gem hidden in the mountains of Greene County, Virginia. This course, with membership fees and a budget way less than nearby courses, is one of the best kept in the area. The greens are crisp, full, and roll true. The fairways are immaculate, giving up the dollar bills with a clean iron swing. The tee boxes are just as well maintained. After the amazing groundskeeping, the course, while shorter than others nearby, make up for it with challenging tee shots, approach shots, and sneaky but true greens.

Greene Hills is an amazing private club north of Charlottesville out in the country not far from Shenandoah National Park. The course was in great condition for being the offseason and was a lot of fun to play and had amazing views of the surrounding mountains. The course is on the shorter side but features small greens, and relatively hilly narrow fairways making accuracy a premium. The staff and few golfers braving the elements were pleasant and welcoming which made for an enjoyable experience. This is a course I consider to be relatively unknown in the Charlottesville area but is one of the b…

Got a pass for the weekend to play tennis. The views were the best I've ever seen, and the great weather to boot. They have a pro shop with limited selections, and a club house that serves the basics for food and drinks. Everyone working there was pleasant and helpful.

Golf course was in great shape. Food was awesome and not too expensive for my family of eight. I do wish they would do some work on the swimming pool area. I love that I play golf with my grandson.

Great coarse located in the foothills of the blue ridge mountains. Nice views of the mountains on several holes. Fairways and greens are in great shape. Challenging but not punishing layout. The staff in the pro shop and the grill are friendly and helpful.

The course was in good shape. Nice views. However the staff was very rude. They had a tournament going on and ALL their focus was on that. It started when calling to set up a tee time. I was instructed to “call back later because they were too busy setting up tee time for members”. Then once we arrived, pace of our play was their biggest concern. Even though that had two members teeing off in our time slot. I understand that members get special treatment but plan better or don’t open it to the public on tournament days. The staff at the pro shop made us feel like second class citizens

This is the course I grew up on, and I get reminded every time I come home for Member/Guest why I LOVE this course. Tough course, beautifully manicured, great greens, awesome staff, and some school friends run the 19th hole. Only problem is, the don't cut me any slack on the bill!!

Grounds are kept OK, Busy for Sunday morning. Website is out of date. Stated Semi Private. The club is now private. First impression walking in the pro shop was unwelcoming (Brash) I inquired about a Tee time. "Are you a member" harsh tone from Ron Morris. Reply " No" Ron harsh tone "Members only".  Reply website says semi private. And So on. As the conversation lead to almost hostile tone. Would make anyone walk out. Got around to membership when Ron handed me a membership brochure. Does not match website and slightly more expensive. Pricey in my opinion for a farm course. Purchased 2 golf b…

Looks purdy but no where on the signs going in (5 miles off 29) or on the website does it say"private" nor do they offer "limited membership" like many of the actually advertised private clubs around....thought about paying a member....but it's usually more fun to play with myself. 👍

Such a beautiful course in the blue ridge mountains. They keep the greens in excellent shape. The Hills Grill has excellent food as well.
