I cannot say enough about this place. Go golf in October if you can! The views are one of a kind, in my biased opinion. The course is in great shape, and this is the only place my dad wants to play when he visits. Watch the view of my dad on the practice putting green, that's how tight they can be.

Although we played the course in the winter and conditions were a bit on the brown side the layout was exceptional and the improvements that they put in the course appear to be money well spent. The staff in the clubhouse was phenomenal. Everybody was very nice and the menu was decent for a Golf Clubhouse. In case you didn't realize it, this is the UVA's golf team home course. Rates are reasonable for what you get the golf carts are all brand new and have some great GPS yardage technology in them. All of the gentleman that played were walking. I would not recommend it, but they made it look ea…

While on vacation my husband invited me to watch him play. The entire staff was accommodating and beyond welcoming. There was a gentleman who explained some of the course to us, so my husband knew what he was up against. We were paired with a member who could not have been cooler. He explained every hole in great detail including undulation and blind spots. He also made lots of recommendations on places to visit.

Well maintained course with extremely pleasant staff. 18 hole course is a nice blend of challenging but not impossible shots. Excellent par 3- The Nest for practicing your short game

Home of the 'Hoos. We played the nest 6 hole par 3... Short and sweet. Hit off the ranges too. Just great view with the rolling hills around and cville vicinity... Pricey but not unaffordable --friendly staff and cordious patrons.

Very nice golf courses: 18 holes and a 9 holes (par 3). There are tennis courts and a spa on the site. I think you must be guests at the hotel. But we had lunch on the terrace looking over the golf course . The food and service was top

Birdwood is always a treat to play and has a very memorable layout, especially all of the par threes. Lock for mountain views on the back 9 as well as an island green par three. Greens run fast but true, heard they were undergoing a course redesign so it might be a while before I play here again.

Excellent course, very challenging in spots but scoreable if you can keep it in the fairways. Definitely looking forward to the next round.

Had a great day out at Birdwood GC! Course was in relatively good shape, everyone was super friendly, and I was able to play a round as a single in a little over 2 1/2 hours. Priced really well also. Only not giving it five stars because of the construction going on for about 4 to 6 holes. Once they finish that, this will be a top-notch facility! I will definitely be returning when I’m back in town.

Awesome layout with many blind shots and narrow fairways definitely need to play your best from the tips. Condition was amazing and staff was top notch!
