In summary

Greystone Golf Club is often praised for its beautiful and challenging layout, featuring scenic views and well-maintained fairways and bunkers. The staff is generally noted for their friendliness and good service. However, many recent reviews highlight significant issues with the greens, which are described as being in poor condition, affecting the overall playing experience. Some visitors also mention slow pace of play and inadequate practice facilities as areas needing improvement.

In General (as of 6 Nov 2025) Wow—what a stunner. Greystone GC is hands-down one of the prettiest public courses around Nashville, with rolling hills, mature trees, and postcard Tennessee views that get even better on the back nine. At 7,046 yards from the tips, it’s a big-boy layout loaded with risk-reward holes, forced carries, and enough elevation change to keep every club in the bag honest. As a threesome we flew around in well under four hours—almost zero wait time except the usual backup on the par-3s. That alone would be worth five stars these days, if only facilities were improved and…

Used to be pretty decent. In terrible shape now. Wouldn’t pay full price for this track. Can’t really record a score with greens this terrible. Nice layout maybe improves next year.

Very nice public course for a decent price. Bring your accuracy, several blind shots and lots of rocks to avoid. It’s a difficult golf course imo. The greens had a lot of ball marks, looked like maybe they had been beat up with hail damage. Overall great game experience.

always a great experience to play Greystone. The course is always in fabulous condition and very challenging. The staff worked super hard to do it. We played in a Monday morning, senior men’s league multiple times during the season and I always look forward to playing there. Thank you all.! Dennis Burda Spring Hill, Tennessee

Great course if you’re in the Nashville area. Course condition was great, plenty of elevation change for my Florida flatland blood. Fun layout with plenty of interesting holes. Played as a single and was paired up with great partners both rounds. Add a note, I see the course has received bad reviews recently for green conditions. I played in July 2025. About 2.5 months before this review. Course was in terrific shape at the time. Nothing resembling the photos I am seeing now.

Time to shut it down until they can fix the greens. This course has been recommended by many but I wouldn’t even expect a muni to be in this bad of shape. Upset to say the least we made the drive and paid full price for the quality the course is in.

This course is beautiful. The fairways and traps are in great shape, however the greens are terrible. Definitely was not worth the drive out there. Was pretty embarrassed to bring people with me and have a very inaccurate score do to the shape of the greens.

The greens are mostly sand and mud. The locker room is worse than any public bus bathroom. Pride in your business starts in the restroom. This was seen in the am and still there after 18. I had to tell the gent working the pro shop that the shower had a bunch of blood and mud on the floor. Trash was seen all over the course. Not impressed at all.

Beautiful golf course, challenging from the blue tees. Pro shop and clubhouse left a little to be desired. Overall good experience and glad we played here today. One of the nicest in the area.

6 hours is slow. The main reason i noticed is the 5somes and 6somes on the course. Course. Seems to be a booking issue they have had for years now. course in great condition as always. It seems to be ran by kids. $80 a round in the winter with 6 hours it’s outrageous.

This course by far has the worst greens I have played in years. I have played around the country from country clubs to cow pastures and these greens are the worst. I used to love playing greystone because of the pristine conditions. Prices are outrageous here on everything. They should be 20% of rack rate until greens are repaired. Typically packed on weekdays years prior, maybe 10 vehicles in the parking lot at 10 am. This course needs major upkeep and repairs or it will lose all business at this rate in the next year. So sad because this used to be a wonderful golf course
