In summary

Hampshire Greens Golf Course is frequently praised for its well-maintained conditions, interesting layout, and good value for money. The staff is generally described as friendly and helpful, although some visitors have had negative experiences with the starter and course marshal. While the course offers a challenging play with a mix of easier and more difficult holes, it is not walkable, and some players report slow pace of play, particularly on the back nine.

Great value golf! Hampshire Greens is a wonderfully kept public course. It's not especially long, but there are a lot of interesting holes that present different challenges. Genuinely enjoyable. Do know that it's probably not a course you want to walk. There are a lot of long gaps between holes. This also makes it a little slow to play, just under 4 and a half hour pace.

Really friendly clubhouse staff. Course in great condition even in dead of winter. I would say it’s moderately difficult for a high handicapper like me (28). While the fairways are decently wide, most holes have some kind of squeeze up to the greens, so they can be tricky. Greens are pretty flat, esp compared to some other MoCo courses like the inside 9 at Northwest. You can’t walk this course; be aware. Carts are covered in green fees. My only gripe is that the pace REALLY bogged down on back nine. I was waiting on every hole from 10 on….

First time playing the course and it was in GREAT shape. Very nicely maintained. The first 9 is a bit easier than the back 9, where it gets more challenging with tighter fairways and more rough. I would look forward to playing here again. Only suggestion might be to upgrade the carts to include GPS screens as I've seen at some other public courses.

Never any sand to fix the course, People don’t fix divots, but good staff and course conditions generally.

I went in the spring and it was a beautiful course. Harder than I thought. The cart paths are winding so it’s not ideal for walkers IMO.

Normally great course. Like a lot of courses, they have lost a lot of fairways. They are aerating spots to fix it. Friendly staff.

Played here after work one day and I would recommend this place for sure! The staff in the pro shop were incredibly nice and helpful and the course is in pretty good shape for the price. It is definitely one of the best courses in terms of value around. Layout is not overly difficult, just a fun little course. The only reason not giving 5 stars is because the starter was extremely rude and acted like he didn't have time for me when it was a slower day. All in all, will be back

Was a good course tight fairways tough greens was in great shape. The lawn crew was bad, mowing with the course instead of reverse so had mowers on every hole. Was 100° and no drink carts came around. The crew even changed the pin placement on a hole after we hit our approach shots to the green.

Played a twilight round on a Saturday in June for $30 with a cart. Honestly one of the best deals I have ever found. The course was in great shape from the tees to the greens. The greens were just great, rolling ~10 and really smooth. The course is a bit tricky and difficult. From the tips, it's one of the harder 6800 courses I have seen. Best deal I have found in the DC area and will definitely play here again.
