In summary

Hawks Landing Golf Club is widely praised for its well-maintained course, diverse layout, and accommodating staff, making it a top choice in the Madison area. The club offers a beautiful setting with a newly renovated clubhouse and quality amenities, including a banquet hall and bar with scenic views. However, some visitors express concerns over the recent transition to a private membership model and occasional slow pace of play.

What a great course! I only played the front nine and loved every hole! Would be 5 stars if it wasn't for the road noise on 6-9, but otherwise a gem! Can't wait to come back and play the full course.

When accessible it was a personal favorite in 05 to maybe 2011. After not playing there for a handful of years I’m nonplussed about the members only decision, for the Bucky book days were a deal. The architectural design is not intuitive to someone not familiar with the course.

Nice course with good hole variety. Walking is a bit tougher on the front but back 9 provides great finish

Loved my round at Hawks Landing. The staff was very nice and accomodating. Superintendent has done a great job. Course in great shape.

The banquet hall has terrible acoustics for a room with this seating capacity (ca 75). The food was fine, the staff were hospitable and attentive.

One of the best in the Madison area. Newly renovated clubhouse and well-groomed golf course. Good food and trendy atmosphere.

We held my niece's graduation celebration here. Great room. Allowed us to gently decorate with balloons and a banner. Awesome staff. Beautiful location, great bar, outside seating... nothing but fantastic!

Beautiful course. Lot of fun to play. According to this one older guy I played with #9 is one of the top 5 hardest holes in WI...but I was already 7 beers deep by then so I might be mis-remembering.

Best golf course in this part of the world, hands down. Superior to the local legacy country clubs and even its neighbor University Ridge. Design, condition, playability, sheer amusement never fails. Been playing it since it opened and it's still in the top five. I say that simply because I wouldn't play *anywhere* exclusively. Not to mention good people, good food, good community members.

Great track.links style off the tee with wide open fairways. But it's a second shot course with sucker pins that are well protected. Outstanding greens ...but dont break as muck as they appear they would.

Lovely course if a little overpriced - that may be me as a Scotsman not being used to US green fees! Experience was dampened somewhat by slow play, this may be something culturally as happens often compared to Scotland but not letting people through is just not within the spirit of the game and due to slow play we couldn’t get 18 in that evening. Will be back for sure but hope the course will police the slow play.
