This is a solid, affordable 9-hole course with good terrain and a nice mix of course hazards and scenery. I grew up playing golf here and it will always be one of my favorite courses. Since moving back to Haynesville I have come to appreciate this course more. It is fairly open so hackers like me won't lose as many balls as on a links course or one with a lot of water. There are a few holes with water hazards but you have to hit some really bad shots to lose a ball on them. The open air pavillion is a nice refuge when rain pops up.
