Course has been in pretty good shape this year but it’s obvious they are not keeping up as they have been. It hasn’t rained much and there was no standing water anywhere yet the mowing was behind. Fairways looked to have been mowed recently but were mowed too high and you don’t get much roll out. Miss the fairways and you will be lucky to find your ball. Tee boxes were pitiful. Needed mowing and they need leveling bad. Some greens needed mowing shorter also. You could hammer a putt and still come up short. I hope the bond issue passes and they refurbish the course and make it nicer. The Nation…

Just a simple, dull, unkept course. Staff are luke-warm at best. Sure most people that still play here just come because it's the cheapest in Beaumont!

This place is already sketchy enough with the area it’s in, and the experience was made even worse by a guy that was named after a damn fish(I’m pretty sure he’s the guy I recognized from the bowling alley that I absolutely hated). I was just trying to take my girlfriend golfing, but he kept us waiting 25 minutes and by the time he got to us, he was very rude. We ended up walking out and finding another golf course because we weren’t dealing with his attitude. I don’t know what his problem was, but it definitely ruined any chance of us coming back.

The gentleman working at the pro shop was nice. Tee time was 7:40 but we arrived at 7 to hit some practice balls. Found out that the range was closed since it hadn't been mowed. He allowed us to go ahead and tee off earlier. We found out very quickly that nothing else had been mowed. When you pipe one straight down the fairway and can't find it, you have a problem. If you're just off the green it's a chore to find the ball. If you miss the fairway you might as well kiss that ball good bye. It has great potential to be an awesome course, but doesn't seem like the City of Beaumont wants to put m…

This was the worst golf course I have ever played at. No joke. Fire ants everywhere. The greens were awful…I wouldn’t even call them greens. This was the trashiest course I’ve ever been to. It was a waste of time and honestly a waste of my $29. The person that was working there was nice though. There’s that. 🤷‍♂️

The course seems to have little-to-no real superintendent planning - maybe due to budget constraints. The fairways aren’t mowed often or with the proper type of mowers oftentimes and the cups aren’t changed as frequently as they should be. The fairways are also riddled with craters that should have been sanded in 10 years ago. The tee boxes need leveling as well. The greens are half decent most of the time though. I’ve played at city courses of smaller areas that are somehow far nicer than what Beaumont has to offer. Very disappointing.

The course was clean, well kept, and the staff was super nice. They even have someone who drives around selling refreshments. The only downside was very busy and the tee times aren’t spaced out at all. It’s not a good course if your new to golf and play remotely slow. Spend more than two minutes on a green, and there will be four golf carts waiting to tee behind you.. Most folks are pretty cool about playing through but there’s always that one guy you just want to drown in a water hazard who ruins your experience...

The course is in pretty good shape, still lots of places rough needs to be cut. The greens were very slow, but with the heat it's understandable. Overall, great play, lost 2 balls 4 feet off fairway, grass too long, but found 4 others so all's good.

Worst course I have ever played at. Worse fairways, and by far the worse greens. Fairways were full of holes and mounds, and about half Bermuda and half Bahia, crabgrass, etc. Every single green was in horrible shape. Rock hard, huge bare spots that were cracked and desert like, full of weeds. I was mad I paid to play here, I wasted a day off. Guy behind the counter was also unfriendly like most everyone else said. Chambers county was in way better condition even back in December when I played there last.

As the local municipal course, I have played this course so many times over the last 20 years. I play golf twice a week, and every once in a while I give 'ol Homberg a try. And every time, I regret doing it, but I always like to go back and try to give them another chance. First, don't even think about trying to book a tee time, hot deal or regular price, on Golf Now. They absolutely WILL NOT honor it if you pay through Golf Now. The last three times I have gone, I pay for the tee time via the Golf Now app, just like I always do for my normal course at Brentwood in Willow Creek, and every tim…

This course is absolute garbage and the employees are imbeciles. We scheduled a 10:30 tee time and as we were out on the tee box the employee in the golf shop came out and told us we had to wait for several other groups to make the turn from 18 to 1 before we could go out (the whole was wide open and the group on 18 was not done with the hole). They had us wait for an hour and a half past our tee time, stacked the course so that the pace of play was 6 hours for 18 holes. Then proceeded to send out another employee with no common sense to tell us that we needed to speed up our pace of play. We…

Young employees are great super nice and helpful. Older employees will cop an attitude with you over asking questions or if you need assistance. If you’re rude to them then they’ll be polite. Course is cool but not worth the attitude the older employees give…..
