In summary

Hideaway Hills Golf Club is praised for its beautiful and challenging course, featuring significant elevation changes and well-maintained greens and fairways. The staff is generally described as friendly and welcoming, contributing to a positive experience. However, some visitors mention issues with the pace of play and certain course features, such as bunker maintenance and signage, which could be improved.

It was a fun course. I really enjoyed the downhill holes mostly on the front 9. But obviously if you're going downhill you have to return uphill and those are mostly on the back 9. So on uphills obviously your ball won't carry as much and on I believe the 13th, it's so sloped you can't use the cart on it. It'll be a hill climb for sure so make sure your legs work because if you hit left, it'll feel like a 30 degree slope walk back up to the cart. The dogleg holes are truly doglegs and the greens will be obscured from tee view. The course was in decent shape. I would go back again, I just need…

Easily one of the best courses in the Pocono region, both in value and quality. The course is always in great shape and I’ve always been treated well by the staff. I’ve seen previous reviews about poor experiences related to staff, but this is not the case. Just because a course has a spot to drop bags and load up the cart (which is the expectation here), this shouldn’t upset golfers. This course is a dime and one of the better tracks I’ve played. Don’t pass it up if you can get a round in.

This is a mixed review. The golf course is OK. Severe elevation changes and a lot of blind shots make it challenging. The greens were good, fairways were OK, as were most tee boxes but the rough was burned out and cut way too short. Accommodations were rustic...at best, and could have used MORE than a little TLC. The lady bartenders in the clubhouse were fantastic. Overall, interesting course if you play the proper tees, but wouldn't necessary stay there again.

All right so being a master fitter of golf, clubs and traveling up and down the East Coast with best attention on the Valley courses here in Pennsylvania, I’m going to start with a shout out to Amelia, who takes your bag from your car and greet you with a smile and is absolutely amazing. Kevin, who has been there for I believe 30+ years is quite a gentleman and really does make you feel welcome when you walk into the pro shop. Along with Jim, who is an awesome young fellow and gives you some really great tips and advice about the courses… Make it such a pleasure to start the day… For the cours…

Hideaway Hills Golf Course is an excellent golf course. It’s one of the best I’ve played. The greens and fairways were in terrific shape. The elevated tee boxes that look down on course are a great addition. The view was beautiful. The service was professional and exceptional. I definitely recommend this course. I’ll be playing there again.

This is an update, the maintenance crew on this course could not have had a tougher year, they kept this place in wonderful condition considering the weather. I also want to mention the starter Dan we had this as he runs a really tight ship and keeps things moving. He is a very friendly person. I really don't want to share this but I will, the secrets out, this is the best public golf course in all of Pennsylvania. Unbelievable views and elevation changes. A huge challenge but fair. Hit the ball well and you will be rewarded. Takes about 4 1/2 to play because it is hard and must be thought out…

This is a spectacular scenic mountain golf course. The views are awesome. With panoramic views on the mountains and valley. This is definitely a course you need to play and want to play multiple times to get to know where to position your ball for the next shot. I was told there were 3 signature holes but I believe there are several that could qualify. I rated this course with 4 stars as the tee boxes need work and crab grass has taken over the tee boxes and a fair amount of the rough.

This course would have earned an easy 5 stars from me had it not been for Dan. The course is beautiful and well kept, greens roll true, fairways are groomed, and there is a solid challenge with various elevation changes and undulation. When it comes to service, Dan is one of the most rude, condescending and arrogant staff members I have encountered at any course in the poconos. I arrived with my 2 other friends to play 18 holes as a 3 man scramble at 12:02 for a 12:10 tee time. Considering our pace of play and the distance from the pro shop to the first hole, his negative and outright outlandi…

Hideaway hills is very scenic. We always enjoy around of golf there. It's well kept and the staff is very friendly. It has challenging holes with a lot of elevation changes. Greens are in great condition and have a nice speed. The sand traps that have sand are really good. Too many traps were in need of repair to rate 5 star. I would rate them 4.5. Fix the traps and an easy 5 star.

This was my first time playing this course, and with just a few adjustments, it could easily be a 5-star experience. The staff was friendly and welcoming. While I didn’t bring any alcohol, it seems to be accepted here as no one inspected my cooler or asked about it. The course itself is both beautiful and challenging. It’s unique in that some holes feature two sets of white tees, which I haven't encountered on other courses. If you struggle to keep your drives straight, be prepared to bring extra balls, as many of the holes are lined with woods and involve steep uphill or downhill shots. Ther…

Fantastic course especially for the price. Only issue is the bunkers need some love alot of rocks and not much sand for some of them I chose to take ball out of trap to not wreck my wedges overall great value and I'll be back during the summer
