In summary

Southmoore Golf Course is frequently praised for its well-maintained greens, challenging layout, and beautiful natural setting, making it a favorite among local golfers. The staff is often noted for being friendly and professional, and the course offers reasonable pricing, particularly appreciated by families and junior players. However, some visitors have experienced issues with pace of play and occasional course management decisions, such as pairing groups unexpectedly, which have detracted from their overall experience.

It’s a great course, condition is good, challenging. I wish to have a bathroom at half way though, only some potty John. Back tee is about 6000yd but uphill and downhill, challenge to get over the hazards. Each hole is beautiful nature view. I’ll come back to play again!!

This is a great local golf course. My son and I come here frequently. We appreciate the junior rates which makes it affordable for home to learn a new sport. We’ve also taken lessons from Jim the PGA Professional. I though they were excellent for me and my son who have had no formal lessons or training.

This is the way a golf course should look and play. Hats off to the staff and the guys who take care of this course. Not only does the course play well, it has great views. Enjoyed playing here very much. As a stretch to find something wrong..... the carts could maybe be more modern, but that is a stretch, because the carts they have are good carts, new carts would just jazz it up some. But what a great place to golf!

Played here a few months ago. Great course, tough at times, so many natural hills and just beautiful. Also came by may turtles which signals a healthy ecosystem. Very encouraging to see the course coexist with nature.

A last minute cancellation was all I needed to join a buddy for a round at Southmoore. Since joining a club I haven't wandered too much. I played here years ago and was excited to play there again. I wasn't disappointed. This is a second shot golf course. The greens are large and have lots of quadrants. Green speed was very slow. This course would have teeth if they sped them up. Overall, in very good condition considering the amount of play here. Fun routing. Nice views. Recommend.

The greens were in EXCELLENT shape. Fairways, tees, and rough needed water desperately due to lack of rain. This place gets lots of play and could use a day or two of rain to keep the players off of it and a chance for it to recover from the heat and humidity. Always a fun experience at Southmoor.

Jim Muschlitz and Southmoore Golf Course have been graciously hosting junior events for about 30 years. Greens are beautiful. Don't expect lightning fast but they're in tip top shape. It is a beautiful piece of land in Northampton County

My husband and I play the course often and usually get paired up with 2 others, which is totally fine, expected and acceptable. Today, just as we were headed to the first tee, the starter came to us and told us they were going to add a 5th player to our four-some. We weren't exactly happy about it but it was literally 2 minutes before our tee time so we just went with it so we didn't hold anyone up. It completely changed the dynamic of our game and made for a very uncomfortable situation considering how busy the course was. The guy was super high-strung. Players behind us were clearly annoyed,…

Our go-to local golf course! We love playing 9 holes or a full 18 here. The course is well maintained and the views are beautiful.
