In summary

Highland Hills Golf Club is appreciated for its scenic setting and forgiving layout, which appeals to beginner golfers. However, many visitors express concerns about the course's maintenance, citing issues with hard and uneven tee boxes, poorly kept greens, and outdated cart paths. Additionally, some golfers mention slow pace of play and inconsistent customer service as areas needing improvement.

Fun little course, maintained well enough to play some fun shots over the rolling hills, and for it being tucked away off of Duck lake it's quiet and never had to wait for others in front at around 2pm. Shorter course, yes tees are close to the previous green but just pick the right club you'll be fine! Front desk was very polite and tee times were open, great course I'll be back!

I tried really hard to like this course. I am very generous with my reviews - my least favorite course I gave a 4 star review. They stack tee times, so expect to wait in line for 10-20 minutes before teeing off (on a Sunday in the summer). The tee boxes were absolutely dreadful - uneven and sometimes hard as a rock. I used my shoe to stomp in a tee in the ONE flat spot I could find - I forgot which hole. The greens are bad, they had dirt spots and some had holes that could fit a golf ball inside. The layout was meh - not repulsive but definitely not great. The fairways have brown dirt spots t…

Beautiful for Golf ⛳️. Unfortunately a lot of people felt the same way. Took over 5 hours to complete the round. Ended up playing with three wonderful individuals so it made it a little easier to tolerate.

Don't waste your money on this dog track , everything about this course is inconsistent, not to mention the amount of blind shots you have to take, many nicer courses in the area

Aug 23, 2025 Saturday 10:00am Tee time Already running behind teed off at 10:10am Course is in ROUGH shape to say the least. Tee boxes look like asphalt not grass. Bring your DeWalt drill to make a hole for your tee. Ground so hard the ball bounces in the middle of the fairway like it hit on a tennis court. Greens are so under maintained that some of them you can’t tell what is green and what isn’t. Lot of blind hills on the course forcing you to drive up to see those in front of you so you don’t hit up on them. Only positive was the high speed carts. Old as hell and sounded like they had an 8…

Course needs a lot of general work, cart paths, signage. Tee box and greens a lot of help. Good layout, some interesting holes.

There credit card reader was broken made me get cash form somewhere else to play. The greens are horrible and the fairways as well. I recommend playing at any other course it’s the same price and a lot nicer.

The man at golf counter did believe the discount I got with GroupGolfer.com. Only $22.00. Finally he found the correct ppwk. We played 18 holes. It was not a bad course. The tee boxes were like concrete. You could not tee up your ball without using a hammer, figuratively. Needless to say. We will be playing golf there again.

Nice club to get out and get 18 in, fairly forgiving with wide fairways and not too many water hazards. Good place for beginning golfers. There are tons of huge hills and blindspots though, so make sure you're not hitting into the group in front of you (unless they deserve it)!

has potential but just needs work, cart paths are very busted up and bunkers are basically nonexistent. prices could be cheaper as well.

Course is completely cooked. The “fairways” aren’t watered, the rough isn’t watered, and half of each green is dead. I know it’s cheap, but with courses like Indian Springs, Brentwood, and Beacon Hill so close, I’m not sure why anybody would go to this goat track. I guess maybe the beer is cheap?

Course has gone WAY downhill in the last month. Tee boxes have gone from a minefield to a minefield littered with rocks (potentially very dangerous). The ranger just sits behind a tree on the first hole and does not enforce any pace of play (I saw 3 groups waiting on one tee at points). Greens keepers have literally destroyed half of the greens, hole 8 is the worst with a nearly foot deep hole on it. And to top it off, the price has risen to $46 a person. Don’t waste your money here, trust.
