This is a nice little restaurant on a golf course. You don't need to be playing golf in order to eat at the restaurant. We chose our seats and were waited on quickly. The restaurant wasn't too busy on this Friday around 1. The food came out quickly and was hot. The onion rings were delicious. All the food was good, but my husband and I would both try something different next time. It was good enough that we would go back.

Beautiful track. Course in great condition, greens are fast, fairways perfect, and tee boxes looked great. Only complaint was pace of play. While warming up, four groups waiting on back nine. Staff at front desk warned us of long wait times, which we appreciated, but I feel a marshal could control this. It was bad, 2.5 hours for nine is unacceptable.

I was visiting friends in Virginia last week and played Hobbs Hole. The course was in great shape for spring and the greens were fast but in the pro shop there an employee vaping behind the counter. I was playing with my son who has asthma and had a bad reaction. I thought it was illegal to vape inside a public place but I live in Pennsylvania so not sure if the laws are the same in Virginia.

The course was very good. The weather was colder then we had hoped but golf in November is always iffy. We enjoyed ourselves.

Fairways were immaculate. Greens were cut to close with some edge burnout. It was a decent outing though.

I played this course today and I must say that the course is excellent. The course is challenging, as well. There are many sand traps, which means you need to focus. However, this is a hidden gem, in my opinion. I like this course and I will come back to play again.

Played this morning and really enjoyed the round. Course is in really good shape and greens were great! My only issue is that they let a group of 6 tee off together at 7:45am! Terrible course management and the front nine was extremely slow! Fortunately they didn’t play the back nine.

I recently returned from playing golf in Myrtle Beach, a drive of more than 6 hours. I could have saved myself 5 hours of travel time by heading to Tappahannock and Hobbs Hole. The course was in great condition for springtime. Greens were rolling true and the layout was very challenging with opportunities for the well placed shot to score. Like a seaside course you need to be sure to account for the wind on every shot. I was impressed by the personnel and Brian Hettinger, the PGA pro and manager, has everyone working together to provide a terrific experience for golfers of every skill level.

So this is the first time i have played here and I was not impressed by it for the price. The fairways are in GREAT shape but the greens are JUNK. On every hole half of the green is a algae/muddy muck. For the money I would have expected better. Everything else was good so I gave it a 3 star

I live in the Fredericksburg area I have gladly made the 50 minute drive because of the great conditions. What happened?? Fairways still fine, but most of the greens were atrocious. Putted on dirt half the time. Shocking because I’ve always liked this course. Yesterday was bad.

A beautiful well groomed public golf course, great staff and quaint bar with excellent brew on Tapp. The food was very good. I am from Ohio but visit friends and family several times a year. A round of golf at Hobbs Hole has became a tradition. Great course with great friends, that’s what golf is all about.
