In summary

Queenfield Plantation Golf Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained greens and fairways, friendly staff, and reasonable pricing, making it an appealing option for both beginners and seasoned golfers. The course layout is noted for being accessible yet challenging, with a serene setting that provides a sense of privacy. However, some visitors have expressed dissatisfaction with certain policies and customer service experiences, as well as occasional issues with course conditions such as dry spots and heavy divots on tee boxes.

Fairways were good, greens rolled at friendly speeds and true lines. A few dry spots here and there and some teeboxes were heavy with divots, but that's on the players to fill in. Layout was easy enough for beginners to still have a good time. Bit outside Richmond but well worth the drive to avoid the crowds. At times I felt like I had the course to myself on a Saturday afternoon! Will definitely be back

I like to take the pro shop employees for their honesty!!!. They said; the course was in great shape, and it truly was!!. This is what good work looks like from the grounds crew to the pro shop . Thank you all for the great work you do!!. This course was a joy to play . 👍💎

It was cart path only today but that's ok because they are taking care of the course. Fairways are thick and greens are plush. A little slow but you have to adjust. Great service.

Great shape. Plenty of driving space. Not too expensive. Had a great time. Points off for clubhouse. Driving range, chipping range and putting green all great shape.

Nice little course. Based on a few reviews and considering how much rain we've had lately it was drier than I expected. It's also freshly aerated but is pretty clean and still plays OK. If you're a beginner or, like me, starting to play again after a hiatus of a couple decades, it's a flat, relatively easy, short layout and worth the price of admission (which is dirt cheap at the senior rate to walk 18 holes).

My son went to play for the first time at this course today. He was excited to try a course that was closer to home than his normal courses. He brought his father, who was unable to play and on crutches due to recent surgery. My son was not old enough to drive the golf cart, so he had brought his dad to drive for him. They were surprised when they charged him a cart fee to drive. We were trying this course with interest to hold a large event for a few minors. I had called to inquire about the cart fee policy, knowing we'd have a few drivers for the event. The person I spoke to was very rude an…

Always a good time at this course I’m definitely no professional golfer and still learning the game but everyone at queenfield is always friendly including the other golfers very laid back easy going course, greens are very nice and the grounds crew works hard at keeping it that way definitely consider this as my home course!

The course is in good shape, with all the rain. Lot's of poison ivy off the fairways. That's typical on Richmond courses, so carry a club when foraging. Greens are receptive, & the price is right. Enjoy....!

I’ve been playing queenfield off and on for about 15 years. This is the best shape I’ve ever seen it in so I went ahead and got a twilight membership. They’ve been putting in a lot of work for the past year and it doesn’t go unnoticed! Beautiful greens; fairways and tee boxes still need some work in areas but they’ve come a long way and are very playable. Great value of a course with privacy on nearly every hole with no houses. Worth a play if you’ve never been.

Course conditions are decent but for the price pay $10 more to play 4.5 star courses. I won't return after they charged me a cart fee for my 13 year old son wanting to ride with me to learn golf. You'd think they would encourage the next generation of customers but they don't, they just show the cost of wanting to learn to play.
