In summary

Lakeside Country Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained golf course, which retains many original Donald Ross features, and the challenging layout with excellent greens. The staff and members are noted for their friendliness and welcoming atmosphere, while the food and amenities receive positive feedback, particularly following recent improvements in food service. Some visitors mention that the club's facilities can be challenging for those with mobility issues, and the driving range is located separately from the main course.

The golf course is fantastic, greens are always in good shape and they have put a lot of work into it over the years. It still has a lot of original Donald Ross features too. As a member of this club, I have never had a negative encounter with anyone here from the warm staff to the members. The membership is diverse and welcoming. Overall, I would highly recommend this club to any family or individual looking to join a club in the Richmond area.

The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. Rhonda was awesome, allowing my friend and me to play this difficult but challenging course. Beautiful clubhouse, amenities and the food is amazingly good! Had a great time. Oh yeah greens rolled smooth and true! Good luck. Hat

I didn't play the course on this visit, but have a few times. A good course to play. Overall, it is maintained well. A little expensive to me. But go with a member as a guest to try it out. The golf group ate at the club house restaurant after playing the public course across the street and they have the best food and is available to non members. Prices reasonable. Many items to choose from even if you vegetarian. They have plenty of inside and outside seating and handled the group size very well, efficiently and with a smile, answering questions with patience.

Jefferson Lakeside Country Club is an older club in the heart of Lakeside. The amenities are nice, if a bit dated. The golf course is very challenging and is usually in good condition. The cart paths need to be replaced. The practice facility is excellent, but not connected to the course (so you have to drive to the course after warming up). Food in the grill is good and service is friendly and attentive. Overall, membership is a great value.

New member here. Great club. Better than a lot of other private courses I’ve been to. Did not regret the decision I made. People are nice, staff is helpful, and conditions are great.

I absolutely loved my time here as a guest. Small but chill country club. Old Donald Ross design which you see quickly while pulling up in the parking lot where you see three greens including 18. Lots of slope on pushed up greens throughout the course. Not the most exciting tee shot golf course, but the beauty often opens up on the second one. You definitely need to play here several times to understand what lines to take off the tee and where to miss greens. If you miss in the wrong spot I see many bogeys and doubles in your future. Random but the tee box for the 3rd hole that juts out into t…

OLD style golf course. Private, so rare to get to play. Driving range is at separate location... Nearly every hole is far uphill or downhill. Nice looking, but very different even from the Senior Tees
