In summary

Hominy Hill Golf Course is frequently praised for its well-maintained and challenging layout, beautiful scenery, and modern facilities, making it a popular choice among golfers in Monmouth County. The staff is generally considered friendly, although some visitors have experienced issues with customer service and operations, including slow pace of play and perceived pretentiousness. While many appreciate the course's value and atmosphere, a few have noted concerns about pricing for non-residents and isolated instances of unprofessional behavior.

Solid Robert Trent Jones County course. Staff is pretty good. 15 handicap will maybe break 90 from the white tees Normal pace is 4:15/4:30 for a round depending on weekend/weekday so expect 4 1/2 hours on busy days and enjoy. Great value at around $50. Holes 8 & 10 are long par 4s and the toughest while back 9 plays at least 4 strokes harder than front. ARRIVE EARLY for your tee time and enjoy. 🏌️‍♂️

Double Sided Review 1st-Course is excellent!!!! Fun layout, great conditions, beautiful scenery(especially in the fall). 2nd-Operations were very disappointing. Five green shirts(Monmouth County Park employees) standing around in the golf shop when I walked in. Out on the course I saw two more driving around in carts. I’m not sure what the two on the course were doing because I was playing as a single, hitting it well and enjoying the afternoon when all of a sudden a threesome we’re in front of me on the sixth hole. They were not there before. They drastically slowed down my pace, took me ou…

A great course. It’s a classic layout- with a hell of a lot of dogleg right holes (8). Also there was no directional signs leading you to the pro shop. this was a little frustrating but not the worst thing. Overall a great course.

Pristine, beautiful course. Modern facilities and friendly staff. Highly recommend playing in the fall season. Well-isolated and quiet, great place to take a party of 3-4. Moderately sized fairways, with manageable roughs; suitable for casual golfers.

Beautiful course, VERY well-kept, plays well for long hitters, probably the best of Monmouth County. Saturday morning $52 w/ county card. $72 w/ cart. Also, very nice golfers around here.

More like 4.5 stars. I love the course. I play here all the time. It's very well maintained for a public course. It's not a super interesting layout and the par 3s are a little bland. Lots of doglegs. Very affordable course if you have a county card and it's not THAT hard to get a tee time assuming you're flexible and aren't booking a 4some. I will say that they do get a bit pretentious with the younger players. I'm in my early 40s and get around no problem and they're always nice to me. However guys in their 20s get read the riot act about course rules prior to every round. The employees j…

Great county course probably one of the best in Monmouth County. Not always easy to get a teatime, but that shows how popular it is. Can’t wait till the next time we play there.

Disappointed by the Service – Would Not Recommend I recently played this course and unfortunately got rained out after only three holes. While I understand that weather can be unpredictable, what I found unacceptable was the complete lack of flexibility or customer service. Despite rain being clearly in the forecast, there was no mention of a “no refund / no rain check” policy when I paid. It wasn’t until I returned to the clubhouse, drenched and hoping for at least a 9 hole rain check (I would have taken a coupon for a bucket of balls), that I was told—rather rudely—that there would be no co…

Hominy Hill is a fun and challenging golf course. I always find fun people to play with and the course is kept in great condition. It is probably the busiest Monmouth County Course but it is well deserving of it's great reputation.
