In summary

Huron Shores Golf Course is frequently praised for its well-maintained greens, challenging layout, and friendly staff, offering a welcoming atmosphere for golfers of all skill levels. The course is noted for its beautiful scenery and interesting holes, with amenities like a clubhouse and outdoor patio adding to the experience. However, some visitors have raised concerns about slow pace of play, the condition of the cart paths, and management practices, particularly under the current ownership.

First and foremost, i take full responsibility for trying to golf a holiday weekend. With that being said, i paid $60 for a round of 18 holes and left after 9. (So did the single behind me) There were 6 somes every other hole completley wasting everyones time. The course was in ok shape, but not $60 a round shape. I feel bad leaving a bad review, I really do. But when we got there, the first cart we got in died on the spot and we had to switch carts.(after getting soaked from all of the water on top of it) I felt bad for the gentlemen in front of me with his 2 kids having to deal with the cons…

Have to shout this course out as well as the excellent ownership. We rented an Airbnb just across the street for a birthday the weekend of November 8th. With the weather still being decent, we thought we could just grab a tee time at any local course, only to find out that most had closed for the season already. We got a call back from these lovely folks and were told that the grounds crew was going to be there shutting the greens down so we wouldn't have any pins out, but we could still play. They did not have to do that; they could have just as easily not returned the phone call, especially…

Great course and a great challenge in a very cool town. I love finding value gems and this is one that is friendly to all skill levels. Was fortunate to meet the owner who's wife and kids work at the course as well. All about golf and community here.

Played just before Halloween. The course is in good shape with a few greens under maintenance. The only issue is losing balls underneath fallen leaves. Pace of play is relaxing and food service is available. Call in advance if course is open.

I’ve played Huron Shores many times during family visits and it’s always an enjoyable and fun time. My most recent round on Saturday was no exception. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. The course was in fine shape as usual. The greens were especially great … very receptive (from the rain) but they roll true. Tip of the hat to the crew! Very much recommended.

I held my parents 50th wedding anniversary at Huron Shores in July. The food, service, and venue was amazing! Sandy and the team there did a wonderful job making the celebration special. Wonderful job!!!

Interesting course with some very tricky holes. Greens and fairways were in great condition. Bunkers need some attention. Not a lot of distance. Some drivable par 4s. My only real criticism is the cart paths needing repaving badly. They beat the crap out of you. I should have walked/carried. Staff in the restaurant was awesome. The chicken salad sandwich saved my life.

We’ve played this course for 28 years. Ever since new ownership 5 years ago, the course has gone down hill. The cart girls and ladies in front are great. The owner is egotistical and will always hound you. We were with a group of 20 and we couldn’t get served a water or Gatorade. If you don’t play a 4 hour round, he will tell the cart girls to not serve you.The tee boxes are filled with sod and slanted and the greens are slow. If I could give under a 1 star I would, simply because the owner. Hot dogs are above average.

In the area for a week on a family vacation and looking to keep my game sharp. Online, little in this area looked that good but this was closest so.... At first glance, this didn't look like much. 5500+ from the back tees. The greens I could see were pretty flat and, with the bunkers, looked to be fairway level. I played it twice and have to say it was more of a challenge than expected. It's pretty much target golf except the par 5s which are pretty straight. The doglegs go both directions and require a precise tee shot or you are cut off from any approach. One for example is only 300yds. But…

I have been playing Huron Shores for over 15 years. This track is a 95 year old Michigan golf landmark with tight fairways, giant mature trees, and elevation changes protecting nearly every hole. I recently had the opportunity to play here for the first time under the new ownership and I left very impressed. The Yamaha EFI carts were brand new and spotless, the club house looked great, and the greens were in phenomenal shape rolling very true despite the recent heat and lack of rain. This course is one of the best in the thumb and I highly recommend setting aside the time (and several sleeves…

Great place and even better people! It was my bachelor party weekend, and we were staying in a house across the street with a bunch of guys. A party bus was supposed to pick us up and take us to a golf simulator facility about 1.5 hours away. Long story short, the party bus no showed and we had no way of getting to the simulators. The main event of the weekend was about to be a bust. We called Huron Shores and they set up an outing and got 20 guys out in the middle of a Sunny Saturday. They honestly saved the day and my bachelor party. The course is beautiful and the owners are spectacular. Hi…
