In summary

Hyde Park Municipal Golf Club is appreciated for its nostalgic charm and affordability, with many golfers enjoying the course's layout and friendly staff. The greens are generally well-maintained, although some visitors note issues with dry fairways and a lack of yardage markers. Criticisms include inconsistent operating hours and occasional maintenance challenges, but improvements under new ownership are recognized.

The course of my youth. Played the White 9 today and while it was a bit bumpy in the fairways, the greens rolled as true as they did back in the 90s. They still have the old plaques for past club events and spotted my grandpa Dave! I was 3rd in the '96 juniors event and noticed Ryan Richards name still there as well. Just tons of memories. A great day!

Came here for my fist time on 10/11/2025. Staff was very helpful in guiding me in the right direction of the first hole on the north course. The course is very nice, it was challenging for my handicap level (high) in a good way. I certainly recommend and will certainly be back for more golf.

Fix ur hours, u say 630 on website and 6pm google, I get there at 540 and ur closed at 5pm and worker said we can’t even walk the course. I understand if I don’t pay I can’t golf but now my Fridays ruined because I’m not making it elsewhere in time and can’t golf at all. I would have just gone to a nice course near my work like Glenn oak if I knew this.

Haven’t played course in a couple years , started back last season and the 18 was much improved ( still needs work but much improved from previous years) the price is right on for a public course of this caliber. Would like to see the tee boxes in better shape . All in all nice course .

The only reason this has 1 star is because there is grass and flagsticks out there. Absolutely absurd price to play this dump. Then the heavy short bald “starter” antagonizes you like he works for the CIA. Played 9 holes here and the greens are caked in fertilizer (It’s days away from June) which I woke up to found completely rusted out my wedges and putter the next morning. Can’t find a ball you hit a foot off the fairway unless you step on it by accident. Maybe putting some tee markers down would’ve increased this to a 2 star. Free for all out there this place needs serious help.

Came in from out of town and booked online. Pretty easy, last slot for morning T Time. Played 18 on a Saturday and got paired with some great guys. Had a blast, good shape. Good course for the money. I play in VA usually.

Giving this 5 stars because everyone seems to hate on this place and I love the old white 9. It’s not extremely well manicured, and you’re probably going to lose some balls. In my eyes, that makes it more of a challenge vs most wide open municipal type courses. There’s nothing fancy here, it’s just you vs. a 100+ year old course. One thing people forget is that it’s priced accordingly and an excellent value. I could play these same holes over and over again (and I do). It’s my favorite place, easy to go solo and just enjoy the sport. Also great to bring friends that maybe aren’t regular golfer…

I got here at 545 to hit some balls at the golf range with my young son who was interested in it. Apparently they close at 6pm but because of laziness they were already closed 15 minutes earlier then they were supposed to be . Even though online it says 630pm . I guess management are not that good here. Last time I came here the lady at the booth was so drunk she couldn't give me correct change . It took 4 attempts and me helping her to get it right.

Good price for 18 holes. Course is decent 5.8/10 and greens are pretty well maintained. I golf here at least twice a week.

We came over from Niagara Falls Ontario to play the course for the first time. We played the 18 hole course and although the course was dry like most, the greens were in good shape. The course was a bit of a challenge for us not having played there before but it was a good experience. The starter was friendly and helpful. We went to Kelly's after and were welcomed by the staff and the other patrons at the bar. We will be back for sure.

Played the white course twice in the past year. Well maintained only downside is there are no yardage markers. Even a painted rock or stake would be greatly appreciated.

The first time I played here it was an absolute Sh!t hole. That was last year. I built up my courage (couldnt find a tee time at other courses) and gave it a second chance. They have made improvements and I would even say that this course could be nice in a few years. Right now it’s very dry and not very challenging. Other than the fact it’s very difficult to find the next hole in a few spots. I hope they continue to work on this course so I can put it into my weekend rotation in a few years. Recommendation: Needs water, regular maintenance, new cart paths, thicker rough and an extra set of t…
