In summary

Thundering Waters Golf Club is appreciated for its enjoyable layout, challenging holes, and generally well-maintained greens, offering a fun golfing experience at a reasonable price. However, many visitors express concerns about the poor condition of the bunkers and tee boxes, with some suggesting the course requires significant maintenance. Despite these issues, the staff is often described as friendly, and the course offers good value, especially with deals.

Great Value, Memorable Day — but Course Needs Attention We recently played Thundering Waters using an amazing UnderPar deal that included 18 holes with cart, a can of beer, and a delicious Mexican flatbread — all for just $72 including tax. Incredible value! We teed off at 9:50 AM with a group of 12 (3 foursomes) and finished the round around 2:30 PM. To our surprise, the starter informed us that we could play as many holes as possible — so we booked again for 4:30 PM and managed to play a total of 34 holes before the course closed at 8:00 PM. What an unforgettable golf marathon! This cours…

Well kept fairways and manicured greens. The Clubhouse surprisingly ONLY had a couple of food options (TWO) either a sausage or breakfast sandwich. Would definitely want to return to play golf only NOT eat any food. There’s a Great local bar up the road 5-10 minute drive called “WEINLOKAL”

Don’t waste your money on this golf course. Tee boxes, bunkers , fairways and greens are all in terrible shape. Theres much better options in Niagara then thundering waters. I don’t ever make a point to complain but this is completely unacceptable. The lowest tier courses in Niagara such as Brock or fox run even have sand in their bunkers. I will not be wasting my money on this course again. The manager of this course should be embarrassed. Take a look at the conditions. There’s no way John Daly plays or condones this course.

I’m going to say although I got a deal so it wasn’t that bad this course has definitely seen better days. The layout and playing of the course is fun and presents it’s own set of challenges. Part of that being the condition of the bunkers? If it is called that, it’s hard to tell if they are letting it grow in or just a lack of maintenance. If it’s the former they should just seed it so it can fill in evenly and for the latter well I guess that’s why there was a deal. I would go back at the same price I paid but just know where your expectations lie, at rack rate there are better options nearb…

The course was in pretty good shape greens were nice. Bunkers were an issue but apparently being worked on. Not as long as I expected for a Daly course. Food and beverages were reasonably priced. Overall a fun course to play and fairly decent green fees. I would play here again.

I have played this golf course since they opened about 15 times. I don't usually write reviews, but I need to get this of my chest. The condition of the course is average. It is end of July and we had amazing summer so far but! Fairways I would say 7 out of 10. Greens they rolled true, 8 out of 10 could be 10 but too many divots on the green, where is the greens keeper? Bunkers: I never seen anything like that. Very little sand and mostly weeds! Why to have bunkers? Very disappointing, please invest some money and players would be very happy. Got coupon so price was reasonable $75.00 per playe…

Nice course with a good variety of hole types and hazards. I would come back and play this course again.

Tough course with many risk reward type holes. Unfortunately, the sand bunkers were in poor condition but the greens were well kept and holding. Overall, a positive experience but the pace of play could have been better. First round was 4:45 with groups in front and replay was done in 3:10 with no one around.

Sad to see the course has not been kept or managed. Very poor upkeep from years past when it was amazing. Can never return. Weak lawn care, bunkers have zero sand, but rakes are there, but why?? Folks are nice but course is very bad shape.

Treated extremely unprofessionally by starter. He acted like a big tough guy, very rude, not letting us play our 2nd round until he said we could without anyone else ahead or behind booked. Waited 40min on the first tee with no one else teeing off, losing daylight. Felt like the starter was just flexing his role. We were being very friendly and cheery with him, nothing back. We had played as a six some for a bit in the morning 2v2v2 scramble, quick pace, because again no one ahead or behind, and the shop manager said it was fine that day. When the starter got wind of us doing that he said he w…

Course design is good and interesting, but the grounds are some of the most poorly kept I have ever seen. I’ve paid half the price elsewhere and had much better conditions. The tee boxes are in shambles. The bunkers they tried to grow grass in are just disastrous pits of weeds. The remaining bunkers are simply holes of clay mud. Seemingly no effort to maintain sand in these. Would strongly advise finding a different course in the area to play.

Good course. Bunkers will be better as they work on them .
