In summary

Idyl Wyld Municipal Golf Club is appreciated for its well-maintained course and friendly staff, with many finding it a good value, especially for beginners and families. The course layout, featuring narrow fairways and challenging creeks, provides a satisfying experience for many golfers. However, some visitors have expressed frustration with the GPS-controlled golf carts and occasional slow pace of play, which can detract from the overall experience.

I enjoyed playing golf here. I am a very new golfer. Therefore, it takes me a little longer to get through the course. However, we managed to stay up with the group ahead of us and had several behind. It was what I like to call overbooked, but there are a lot more single individuals and senior players. They do not have beer/snack carts, a club house, or beer in their store. There is a restaurant/bar to go to called One Under in the same lot and you can order from there. As for the course, it's well maintained and can be challenging with all its creeks and some water. It has gps on carts that a…

My daughters school got canceled last minute today, booked on GolfNow so couldn’t get a refund, they let me bring my daughter along and even helped me secure her car seat to the golf cart, and made sure I got started on my own so we could enjoy the time together without bothering anyone else, amazing staff and great course. Will return.

It's been a while since I've been here. The course is in better shape than last time. It was a good day.

I’ve not been to Idyl Wyld for quite some time and my recent 18 hole experience makes me want to go back again soon. They have recently upgraded their golf carts with electric and GPS range system! Although the course could use a bit more maintenance, their price is fairly cheap compared to some other courses. Now that more courses are upgrading their carts with GPS range system, what do I do with my Golf GPS range finder that’s becoming more obsolete… :(

Tried to fit a golf course in much too small of an area. Smart golf carts were actually stupid forcing you to stop and reverse without good reason. Fairways were good, t boxes chewed up, greens just ok.

Me and my fiance recently played at this course and it was beautiful. I agree with other reviews that the cart monitoring did get kind of annoying. At one point we had to reverse a long distance to get to a spot where it would let you drive forward. The only positive about the GPS was knowing how far you were from the hole. I will say my one major positive of this golf experience was their ranger Jerry. Jerry happened to watch me shoot very poorly on hole 10. He called me over and gave me tips on how to shoot it better (I am a very beginner golfer) - I got a par on the following 3 holes. He e…

The carts are programmed with their GPS such that it is a cart only course. They should take beyter care of the course and maybe they will meet their own expectations. My cart disabled itself and luckily there were a few players that pushed me about 20 feet to get it going again. They experienced the same thing on the previous hole. I went to the pro shop after returning my cart and they could care less about my feedback - I could here all 3 of them laughing when I left. Will not golf here again and advise anyone not to golf here unless you like to play cart path only.

The course is fine but the cart monitors are terrible. I understand having parameters for the carts but these make no sense. Many times you are in an area where your cart absolutely should keep moving no problem but you're stuck having to reverse or go forward at 1mph because the cart monitor says you're "off course". Loosen the parameters. It's ridiculous. Definitely slows the pace of play. Also, what clubhouse doesn't sell Snickers bars? Unreal!

Good course, way to damn expensive, 28 per person??? Really!? What happened to golfing and golfing for fun. every time my buddies and I want to golf we end up paying 85- $100 to GOLF. ITS OUTRAGEOUS your PRICING SUUUCKS! and needs to be examined and brought down, I'll go find a cheaper course

Nice course. It was good to see that they allow women to golf, as the last course I was at did not. Grounds were well kept. Tree line was well manicured especially with all the dead ash trees that this region has. Fees were average for this area. If you are looking for an easy course that's close to home, this would probably suit most golfers just fine!

So far the best course I've been to in my 4 months of golf, nice and friendly staff, awesome cart girls, food came extremely fast could have been due to them hosting a baby shower but that don't matter. I haven't had any issues with other golfers there and I didn't here either but the group right before us (middle aged) and after us (seniors) were soo cool. They have range detection on the cart, and have sensors on the course that keeps you from getting too close to the water and slows down on hills. I will definitely return multiple times.
