What People Say

In summary

Whispering Willows is appreciated for its well-maintained greens and fairways, interesting layout, and excellent customer service, with staff often going above and beyond to ensure a positive experience. The course is noted for its good drainage and reasonable pricing, making it a popular choice for both locals and visitors. However, some players have experienced slow pace of play and issues with tee time management, and there are occasional concerns about the condition of the bunkers and tee boxes.

A fantastic course with great staff who care whether or not you have a good time. This year I had played this course half a dozen times at least, at one of my early morning visits I had a friend bail and put me solo. The staff saw that I had lost interest and finished my round very fast and came out to tell me that even though I played 5 out of 9 holes, they gave me a rain check to come back and play again. That little touch made such a difference to me and it’s something I won’t soon forget.

Great place to play 18, middle of the road fir toughness, high value for for price. Restaurant opens early and has fresh coffee, service with a smile. 10 dollar minimum spend. My favorite golf course in Livonia MI

Excellent customer service from the gentleman working the check-in counter this evening. Played right after a big rain storm and the course wasn’t sloppy at all…great drainage. Thank you for a great experience.

A good local Livonia golf course, with tee boxes to match every skill level. Greens can get fast and the mounding in some can increase putting difficulty. Sand traps can use more sand as they were hard underneath the day I played. Pricing is midline - not cheap but not too expensive. People who work in the Pro Shop are helpful and nice. I enjoy playing at this venue.

I love this course. I have played there for over 30 years and this is where I learned how to golf with my good friend John. This was our home course for years until he moved to Pinckney. Now, we still make it a yearly habit to play there not only to rekindle old memories but to make enduring new ones. Love hole number 2 which we affectionately call El Guapo. And hole number 15, good luck. Ps. Miss the huge tree at the dogleg turn to the left of hole 12. Only one person in our group ever hit the trunk on the fly from the back tee box and that delight costs us 5 bucks apiece. Ah, what fond memori…

Good course with a decent combination of challenging and easier holes, and some simple water hazards. The bunkers were not well groomed, so the sand was packed like hard dirt, but the fairways and greens were nice. The staff were friendly, and I did like that they have a starter and ranger trying to keep a good pace of play. Fair green fees. The service in the bar was very slow, so careful at the turn if you run inside, but there were plenty of drink carts out on the course.

Very solid municipal course. I was here for an outing. Everything was well orchestrated and everyone seemed to have an excellent time! Greens and fairways were in top shape. Their regular greens fees would be more that fair for what's being provided.

This is the best of the three municipal courses in Livonia. Greens run fast and true. Fairways are in great shape. Carts have GPS. The restaurant is terrific. Not your average golf course grub - much better. The staff is friendly and the service is good. The tee boxes could use some love. They're not terrible but I am a tee box snob. It's the ONLY shot on the course where I should NEVER worry about my lie. It should be flat and well manicured.

For some reason they allowed a group of 20 older women out in front of our tee time today. There was no time spacing and the women were not playing with any reasonable pace. Started at 10:35 for a 10:15 tee time, then had to wait on every hole. The course was in ok shape but some tee boxes were not. Had some good rounds at willows but I will never be back. Whoever allowed this type of tee time spacing should be fired! I was going to ask for a refund but after 5 plus hours I just went home.

Affordable golf, pretty challenging at times with tight fairways, greens were fast and well maintained. Fun course to play. Will go back.

Great course! Went to a golf outing here and really enjoyed how well maintained the course was. Had some challenging holes but not a bad course for beginning to intermediate skill levels. Wish they had more golf ball washers.
