In summary

Indian River Golf Club is highly praised for its well-maintained course, beautiful setting, and friendly, helpful staff. The dining options, particularly at Birdie's Tavern, receive positive feedback for both food quality and service, with several visitors noting the enjoyable atmosphere and scenic views. However, some guests have experienced slow pace of play and occasional issues with course management, such as tee time scheduling. Overall, the club is considered a hidden gem and a worthwhile destination for both golf and dining.

We went for lunch at Birdie's tavern. The lunch special was delicious. Service good. Very nice clean and comfortable dining area. Will be back to try other selection on their menu. They do have gluten free options.

Wow...talk about a hidden gem!! Went with my sons and we all were very impressed. Views on course are beautiful and course was in great shape. Greens were true and tight. Tees were well groomed. Lotsa trees between fairways so very peaceful. Clubhouse staff was really great. We can't wait to golf this course again!

Had a great time here. Course in great shape. Long course but green and a longer course. Enjoyed it and will be back when in the area. We got the chicken wraps for our foursome but they were a bit simple and lacking flavor but filled us up for a moon start time.

This is a really nice place. Our family stopped for lunch and the food was good. We were 13 and at midday were seated immediately but with a 6 hr drive south in front of us the time it took put us about 1.5 hours longer.

This is my favorite course in the US. A hidden gem for sure. It's not often you have a course start out with two holes where a driver isn't necessary - it allows for a wonderful warmup before you hit driver on number 3. Even if you have a bad round here, you can't be too mad. You're Up North!

Golf course is good but the customer service and bar area has a lot to learn. Please let 9th hole guys grab snack and go instead of listening to everyone's life story

School-Community Health Alliance of Michigan hosted an event in their private dinning room and everything turned out great. The staff was great to work with and very responsive to our needs.

Chef aka Terry is awesome and makes the best food. Never had a bad meal. We both ordered the whitefish and chips and I do not normally eat whitefish being its usually too dry but I got it because I know of Terry's culinary skills. It was very moist and topped with great tarter sauce and lemon. The French fries are top do for as they are very awesome as well. Highly recommend this restaurant if you have not been your missing out on a hidden gem. Sat outside overlooking the golf course was an amazing view on an amazingly nice day. Very refreshing cannot wait to get back their again for the fish…

Course is nice and in good condition, however pace of play is horrible. Waited 5+ minutes on every tee box with someone right behind us. Heard the pro shop guy say that he let people go in front of the people in front of us. If they stuck to specific tee time bookings then it wouldn’t be as bad. The people who play here have no common curtsy, if you have a team of 4 people, let the people play through!
