In summary

Ironwood Golf Course is highly praised for its well-maintained 27-hole layout, which offers a variety of challenges and beautiful scenery across its three distinct 9-hole courses. The staff is frequently commended for their friendliness and professionalism, contributing to an enjoyable golfing experience. While the course is generally in excellent condition, some visitors have noted issues with slow pace of play and occasional wear on tee boxes.

Ironwood is a really nice course. It's pretty challenging. Maybe it's a difficult course because I suck at golf. Lol!! But it's always in good shape and for the money I think it's a really good deal compared to other courses in the area. I really enjoy playing here.

Hesitant to post, only because the more people who know about this place, the more will fall in love with it. The three 9-hole courses keep it persistently interesting. Each one carries its own unique challenges. The distances & greens on Callow, the rolling elevation changes on Meath, and the water features on Birr. Great scenery. Grounds crew does a great job, esp considering what it takes to recover from some good sized outings. (And before you comment, yes I repaired the ball mark on the third Pic. If I'm ever lucky enough to get an Ace, I hope it's here... So close)

Ironwood is one of the best public courses in SE WI! Callow, Meath, and Birr each offer something unique and are beautiful. Easy to get super early tee times and evening rounds. Hats off to the ground crew for maintaining everything, sand traps are always clean, greens are quick and have challenging pin placements, the course structure is great exercise for walking. Recently played 36 holes in one day here and had the best round I’ve ever had (+1) maybe I’m biased.

Played Meath to Birr a couple weeks ago and can't stop thinking about it. Some of the toughest and most picturesque golf I've ever played. 10/10 would golf again.

Ironwood is always is great condition and each of the three 9's is unique; and the staff, led by GM Mike, is top-notch. It's been one of my favorite courses for years.

Greens had DOZENS of ball marks and cleat marks. Very disappointing. Course was cool but blind shots are way overused both of the tee and into greens. Some would be great but it's a majority of holes.

Truly a beautiful golf course. Greens and fairways are in almost perfect condition. Pace of play was great for this time of the year. Price was perfect too. Looking forward to returning in the future and hopefully have the opportunity to tee it up again.

I played in an outing at Ironwood. It was very smooth experience. We had beautiful weather and a wonderful experience. Ironwood features a fair amount of water, rolling hills and considerable elevation changes. It is a well kept course that sees heavy play on their 27 holes. A few of the white tee boxes were extremely worn with little grass to tee from. It is a challenging course with, it seemed like, not a flat green in the place. Tough putting on mostly large greens. Very friendly staff that are eager to assist. It was a great event and I will certainly keep them high on the list of places I…
