Kentucky Dam Village State Resort Park

I wanted to rate higher but each year, sadly, everything deteriorates. It appears you have to book a room now using all the various online middleman apps to get a room. The room I have for two days is clean as can be expected in a very dated 1970’s kind of way. No smells. No refrigerator, ice machine broke. Water faucet leaks, low water pressure but hot, but the water is not clear; it has milky cream color that is not healthy in my opinion. Wall sockets extremely loose and not safe. Very close to Ky Lake whoch is a great lake to boat or fish on. The IKon tournament went off without a hitch Memorial weekend with over 200 boats amd still left plenty of room for those not in the tournament. The hotel rooms are always clean, as are the cabins.

Beautiful place to get away. I feel calm the moment I sit on the porch of my room and just look at the water and hear the birds. I love to swim and this place is great for that. Staff go above and beyond.

We only stayed one night but want to come back. Staff great, room great, view beautiful. Everything was positive about our experience. Very dog friendly! Highly recommend!

I have been going to Ky Dam village State Park for over 40 years always had a good experience we went This past Jan3-5 stayed in a cabin had a small mishap that the front desk took attention to refund my stay ...left reveiw on Expedia they wouldn't let me change or drop my review on there site so I'm here to rectify that review the front desk going to be more helpful and they did refund my money for the stay as I've already said I have always found the staff most helpful and the grounds is beautiful I will gladly be back again sooner than later highly recommend this for a vacation stay

Great place to stay and relax. View of lake is beautiful. Very peaceful and quiet, and the grounds are well maintained. Resort offers Breakfast Lunch and Dinner. Pool was drained on our visit. Lodge rooms are well maintained, but have no refrigerator or microwave. Probably because the power coming out of the outlets can't handle the wattage. I say this because charging cell phones take for ever and using phone while being charged decreases power on phone.

The tub drain was missing its stopper, and there was no way to fix it. I wouldn't complain, but one of the kids only takes baths, so... yeah. Other than that, other issues were swiftly taken care of, and the staff followed up to make sure issues were fully resolved. We'll also be returning in summer 2026!

It looks very nice. Beautiful countryside. Ive never actually been. My sailboat is at the marina next to the village. But, if you want to stay by a lovely lake, wish to rent a boat, and love the outdoors, my rating is 5 of 5. I pay over 3000.00 a year to stay just because its a very relaxing and well equipped marina.

Stayed here for a few days, they lost hot water in the middle of my stay and I couldn’t shower. No accommodations were made to remedy this. I had to remove about 10 stink bugs out of my room that I found on the walls and in the bed. Absolutely disgusting place, I will never stay here again.

Great place to stay. Plenty of room and location is good. The pool should be open a little later and needs a good cleaning. Restaurant was okay, your typical buffet food but not terrible. I would recommend it if there is nowhere else to stay in the area.

We booked a room for today and picked this place because they said they were pet friendly. We got there, and they told us that we needed to kennel our dog any time we were out of the room. We do not travel with a kennel. No where on their website does it mention this kennel requirement. Many pet owners do not travel with kennels. We had to cancel our reservation day of because of this and now need to find other last minute lodgings. Very rude at the check in station...we waited for about 7 minutes before anyone came to the counter and when we asked if our room was ready we were treated rudely by some middle aged blonde hair lady with a bad attitude...she brushed us aside and continued to check in the 4 people behind us ...because of waiting without a response at the counter long there was a line ...so we left and went to our car and waited until 3... the same lady was rude to my wife again and made her wait and when it was finally our turn she answered the phone and walked away from us and had mumbled off rudely...someone…
