In summary
Lake Mills Golf Club receives mixed feedback from visitors. Many appreciate the course for its reasonable pricing, friendly staff, and generally well-maintained condition. However, some criticisms include inconsistent course maintenance, such as uneven tee boxes and gravel-like bunkers, as well as issues with customer service, cart policies, and limited amenities like beverage carts and clubhouse hours.

The course is well maintained, welcoming, and most of all fun. I will definitely be hitting these links again soon. I've read the negative reviews and can confidently say they don't accurately represent this course.

Well, it’s golf. The greens are tiny, the tee boxes super uneven, and hole #8 is perhaps the dumbest hole in southern Wisconsin (a reverse dog-log leg that requires a wedge off the tee).

The course is fairly priced for what you pay and the quality of golf received. My issue today is that yesterday we went golfing there and they presented me with a form that I had to fill out if I wanted to rent a cart. I have no problem with giving them my name and phone number, but this form went into greater detail even requesting my DL number. I questioned them on this new form and they said some kids had broken a windshield just the night before and they said "why should be have to pay for the broken windshield?" Hmmmmm was my first reaction. And then I asked if they carried insurance and…

Played today and was an awesome golf course, with two exceptions one stay out of the sand traps because they’re like gravel pits having very course rock sand and two for a stranger from out of state the directions getting to the next hole on about five holes were terrible directions

This is an okay golf course. The bunkers leave a lot to be desired with several of them completely overgrown. Fairways and greens are in decent shape for a small town course. It is an old style course with fairly open fairways. The cart service was fast and very friendly. I would go back again to meet friends but not a higher end course.

Horrible experience. Just booked a tee time, had two people. Club house refused to let us walk the course. Only would allow carts even if we paid the cart price. Staff was not accommodating. Parking lot was half full. Drove a half hour to play here. Would not recommend.

Came here in July of 2022, and then again today. I had some main issues (our tee time was 3 PM) 1. The beverage cart was not going around the course at 3 PM on a Saturday. Nobody mentioned this and we therefore didn't bring a cooler or buy any drinks from the fridge ahead of time. They even had a big sign that stated "golf cart - cash only" 2. We played 9 holes, planning to stop at the club house and get some food and a drink, just to find out the restaurant/bar closed at 4 PM on a Saturday. 3. The greens were extremely dry despite the rain, and the fairways almost seemed like rough, and we…

Good local golf course! Good price, friendly staff. Only complaint is a lack of drink variety, but that isn’t a big problem.

Course was fine for the area, nothing special. The bad rating is coming from the lack of staff and the club house be closed at 5 pm on a Saturday when we got done golfing. Also, no beverage cart on a weekend with temps around 90 degrees. Could have easily gotten another couple hundred bucks out of my foursome with food and drinks during and after golf. We could have played 36 more holes and nobody would even know. We golfed on Saturday, July 24th with a 130 tee time.

They are more concerned that someone might carry on a beer than they are about pace of play!!! They put a mark on every beer can but don’t seem to notice when 6 carts are on the same hole!! I’m not going back!!!

I have played at this course a number of times a month for the past 23 years. Most times I play as a single. Yesterday I met a friend for a round. Due to Covid we decided to take separate carts. I was told there would be an additional charge of $15 for the cart. It was explained to me it was due to wear on the tires of the cart. If I'm not mistaken the wear would have been identical if I had played as a single. This course not worth $53. So while they may have made an additional $15, they have now lost a loyal customer.

We couldn't walk the course in the morning because it slows up play. Of course there were only 6 other cars in the parking lot. So, we took carts and then had to play an extra $14 for each of us have our own cart. 18 holes cost me $56 and this course is not worth $56! All the other courses I played this year did not have an extra charge to comply with Covid guidelines.
