In summary

Lake Murray Golf Center is appreciated for its friendly atmosphere, reasonable pricing, and decent driving range, making it a suitable spot for casual practice and family outings. However, many visitors express concerns about the condition of the par 3 course, particularly the greens, which are often described as poorly maintained or non-existent. Additionally, some patrons have experienced inconsistent opening hours and outdated facilities, but there is optimism about potential improvements under new management.

Here’s the deal with Lake Murray Golf Center. It’s a 9 hole par 3 course with a driving range in need of updating. You can tell the previous owner took pride in the course but this seems to not be the case as of late. I took a friend to play yesterday and we hit some balls on the range to start and then played 9. I’m rating this 3 stars because the overall value of the course did not reflect in the price or the upkeep of the facility. It is unfortunately obvious the range is the only part of the faculty that is regularly maintained. The greens were in awful shape and were essentially not play…

I was driving down I26 and was looking to fill in 30min of free time. This place came up on the GPS and I thought I would check it out. Its very simple, a bit run down, but it was fun. Used about 3 clubs and 30min later was back in the car. It would be interesting to see it in the summer time.

Course has really declined and it appears to be out of business. Does not appear that the owners put much money into up keep. The course greens are terrible and the driving range is not much better. The practice green could be used for chipping but not putting. I went there 02.01.2022 and they were closed. Phone on website has been disconnected. It would be awesome if someone would invest in this place and redo the greens. A nice lighted Par 3 would kill it around here. Add some adult refreshments and it would be a huge success!

Driving range is great and good price for a lot of range balls but the par 3 is a little rough and no actual greens, only normally mowed grass and some sand. Overall great place to perfect little things, as long as it isn't putting. Great for practicing shots in the rough

The owners are very sweet. Although I saw the reviews and knew mini-golf might not be up yet, we went anyway for my birthday. The hardest part was teaching my 3 year old how to putt. It was a great experience on the driving range.

We like playing here, but on more than one occasion came to play and facility was closed. This last time was a Saturday morning. Weather was good and several people past by starting to turn in the went on by. Horse say open at 9 am I think it opens when the owner feels like it.

Since we don't have many choices around here, this is a pretty nice venue. Friendly atmosphere and decent range at affordable price. About a year ago it almost closed. Par three is open but I didn't play it so not sure about the shape it's in. All in all they're making a go of it and I'll continue to support. Hopefully it will continue to improve.

Very disappointed in the par three course. Most fairways in fair condition, and the greens were non-existent, just a hole in the ground where the grass was cut a bit shorter, if there was grass at all. Not a good experience for my two grandchildren.

Twice I have gone during the middle of the day to hit balls on the range and it is closed. The golf balls are in the worst shape of any range I’ve ever hit on. The prices are the most I have ever had to pay for any bucket of golf balls.Out of five golf balls maybe one will be good. I don’t think I can get this place my business any longer

Great place to hit a bucket. Prices are not bad. Ranges from $9 for a small bucket, $11 for a med , and $14 for a large. I did not count how many were in the buckets I am estimating that the med had about 45 balls.

Decent driving range for the price...$12 for a medium bucket of balls (~75). Greens on the course and practice area are more like a poorly mowed first cut of rough, but the range is worth the trip.

I have been going here since I was a kid. The friendly environment and all inclusive feel has stayed for all these years. The par 3 course is still fun to play on for a low key, no pressure afternoon.
