In summary

River Side Golf Center receives praise for its convenient driving range, which is well-maintained and offers self-service options with credit card payment, making it accessible at all hours. Many visitors appreciate the friendly staff and the facility's affordability, especially for beginners. However, frequent criticisms highlight the poor condition of the par 3 course, lack of amenities, and the absence of staff on-site, which some find inconvenient.

Very short course but greens where no kept couldn’t tell the grass apart and any hills in the middle of putts.

It's a driving range. The facility is never staffed on the weekends. Bathroom is locked. No vending machines or availability to get water. Grounds are always in a state of disrepair. They have a par 3 but not sure how to use it due to Noone staffing the facility. Attendant did show up quickly after I called to have the bathroom unlocked but promptly left after doing this "task". Typical Columbia SC.. so much potential but just missed the mark.

I’m going to be 100% honest the bad reviews this place has makes it seem like the worst place in the world but after giving it a shot today I realized the people leaving negative reviews are just pick me people that have nothing better to do than sit and be negative. This place is fun it stays open late has lights so you can beat the heat and hit as long as you want which is awesome the machine that gives you the balls does not cut you short you get what choose for a amazing price sure the grass your hitting off of could be better but it could help improve your game in my opinion this place is…

Great customer service! I’m a student at usc and I didn’t have my clubs with me, the owner made sure an employee could meet me and allow to borrow some of the clubs they lend out. Driving range is great and has plenty of spots for everyone. My favorite driving range I’ve been to in Columbia.

Very convenient. The par three isnt really all that, but if you want to work on your short game it'll do the trick. Just dont count on a great putting experience... the greens are ROUGH. However let's talk about this driving range. The grass is well maintained. So you'll be able to practice off a decent, fairway like lie. And most importantly its self serve, with a machine that accepts credit cards! And the range appears to be open all hours of the week. I just went at 8pm on a Sunday to get a few swings in before sundown. No problem. Ground was soaked from rain so I shot off their covered tu…

One of the best days within my life. It was peaceful and all day paddle boarding or kayaking. It was a workout but me and my friends didn't even feel like we were working out. We will definitely be returning to Riverside Golf Course! Mr. Bob was super friendly and the process in the office was fast! More time for fun.

Went back to this place for the 1st time in probably 15 years. Haven't played much golf over those years so no need and no time. Was always fond of this place; great short Par 3, great range, and pro shop. Played a lot there in college and after. Fast forward to 2022, not so much. First you have to run the gauntlet to get there. Pro shop is closed (I assume permanently), you get range balls from a machine, and the Par 3 is paid for by depositing cash in an envelope, and dropping that in a door. Range looks terrible as did the Par 3 course. It is in sad shape. I'd make the drive to Cayce for Pa…

Simple and clean. First time using this range. Easy to use ball machine. Didn't see the club house open. But for the quiet golfer this place works.

The directions Google provides makes it nearly impossible to find this place. But so happy we finally arrived there! The staff member we meet was very friendly, helpful, and informative. Great driving range and rates! The green isn't beautiful but it's a perfect place to practice. Recommend this spot 100%

I know it’s a par 3 but there is no difference between the “fairway” the “rough” or the green. With piles of grass every where and deep grass, I lost but found several other balls. You could only see the ball directly above. Don’t bother with a putter, you can’t use it here. Way below par. At least a crack head tried to rob my car when I transitioned to the driving range.
