Lakeview Hecla Golf Course

Our Family stayed there in June! Beautiful rooms - though they could use an upgrade. It was pricey for a few nights stay. But We will be sure to visit again though! Beautiful resort location. Lots of beautiful scenery perfect place for hiking and exploring hecla island.

The back 9 in the golf course take you right by lake Winnipeg. Very beautiful. The course has a good variety of challenging holes and holes that are on the easier side. Overall, a good course for a good day of golf.

Very lovely place to be with love ones and family. I really enjoyed myself here. The staffs here are lovely and professionals. Amazing place to be !

Played there Saturday. Course is in great shape, staff were courteous and professional.

Disappointing. Definitely has degraded since 2021/2022. Driving up to what they call a pro shop, is a drive lined with weeds. Pro Shop is surrounded by weeds and looks unappealing. The only two "modern" bathrooms on the course, are out of order and look like they have been abandoned. Flaked paint and weeds surround the buildings. You only have porta potties to use, no hot water to wash your hands. Being able to wash my hands would have been nice when we ordered food from the kiosk at the 10th hole. I wonder how they clean their hands? Oh wait they don't - they don't have hot water. I asked. B…

We play this course every year and it is always in great shape.

Massive groups booked up before us. They didn't have enough carts for everyone so we had to wait. Front 9 was in nearly unplayable condition. Not just because it was wet, but the greens keeping is just poor. The grass around the fairway was so tall you would lose your ball in it. Over $90 for the same quality course as inwood. No beverage cart, hut was closed down Save your money and try somewhere else. Not worth the drive.

Great course, and in great shape this year, golfed jul 6 2023. It has challenges but is also forgiving so us less professional golfers don't spend all of our time in the bush! And those few times we did find shade weren't the worst for ball hunting. Great beer selection to boot!!

The property is fabulous and the modernization is lovely. Great bathrooms and beds. The cleanliness of the facility is not what you expect at an upscale resort. Common areas have peeling wallpaper. The service levels are mediocre but friendly. The place has potential but it needs some work.

I think it's great here... such a nice escape only 2 hours from Winnipeg. The price is great for the quality of the rooms. There are lots of options for nature walks and birding around the resort. The ambience of the building itself is great... it has a really lovely lobby, and the adult salt/hot pool area is fantastic (family area great too). It has a few quirks, for example, the indoor stream often doesn't run, but overall it's very nice.

Beautiful course, in very good shape for this time of year. Thoroughly enjoyed playing it. The marshall ruined the whole experience, kept telling us we were golfing slowly (he booked a few twosomes in front of us, individually, one of which was walking, we were waiting at EVERY tee box). Didn't appreciate our interactions with him at all, had to tell him to stop being so rude at one of the tee boxes. At the turn, the first few in our group got these nice, big smokies, they ran out and the others had to get these anemic little hamburgers, food shortage in the middle of a Saturday shouldn't happ…
