Title: Unacceptable Course Management, Unprofessional Staff, and Blatant Double Standards I recently organized a 12-player outing (three consecutive tee times) at Legacy on Lanier. While our front nine went smoothly, the pro shop made an inexplicable and completely amateur decision to squeeze an unscheduled group of young women right in front of our second group at the 10th hole. To make matters exponentially worse, they allowed this inserted group to play as a 5-some starting on the 11th hole. Anyone who plays golf understands that allowing a 5-some, especially squeezing them into the middle…

On Wednesday, March 4th, our group of 12 had confirmed tee times at 1:00 PM, 1:10 PM, and 1:20 PM. While the front nine proceeded without issue, we encountered an unacceptable situation starting at the 10th hole. Despite having consecutive tee times for our 12 players, we suddenly found a group of 5 women on the 10th green and another individual woman cutting ahead of us to the 11th tee. This effectively forced a 5-some and a single player directly between our 1:00 PM and 1:10 PM groups. When we contacted the clubhouse, we were initially told a marshal would be sent to mediate. However, we lat…

My friend booked a tee time for 3:00 PM on May 31, 2026. Before our round, we specifically asked the pro shop about the condition of the greens. We were told they had been aerified about a week earlier. However, when I arrived early to practice, it was clear that the aerification had been done much more recently and the greens were still significantly affected. I contacted my friend, who immediately called the pro shop for clarification. Unfortunately, he received the same information, which did not accurately reflect the actual condition of the course. To make matters worse, there were no r…

Played Legacy Golf Course at Lake Lanier and it did not disappoint. Beautiful layout with several holes right along the shoreline—gorgeous views and refreshing breezes the whole round. Greens were rolling true and fairways in great shape. The staff was friendly and helpful, especially Chase who made our check-in smooth and gave great local tips. Highly recommend this public gem in Georgia—can’t wait to play it again!

This golf course is stunning, with several holes designed along the lake, offering beautiful scenery. The highlight is the third hole, which resembles a harbor and often has many yachts docked. The people on the yachts use loudspeakers to guide and comment on your play, much like a TV game show host. After you tee off, they provide tips on how to improve your next shot. It's a delightful and unique experience.

It's January, but if it was spring or summer, the scenery would have been very nice. Everything was good except for a lot of damage to the grass at the tee box. The speed of the putting green was surprisingly fast, the practice range was well organized, and the staff was kind. The course was fun because it was tricky to play. It was a more satisfying round than a similarly priced golf course in Florida. I want to play again in the summer.

One of the better courses and values I've seen. Course is in great condition. Range balls set out for you. Blimpie sandwiches hot dogs and snacks included. Coffee and cokes too. Lay out is kind tough, lots of water carry but a solid course for sure.

Beautiful and tough course with lot of sand bunker and water challenges. Narrow fairways make even challengeble for average golfer. We had good game and nice part is food included. Staff was great and awesome customer service.

Our group of 12 had one of the most frustrating golf experiences we’ve had in a long time at this course. We booked consecutive tee times specifically to keep our round moving smoothly. However, when we made the turn, the course inserted a five-player group between our groups starting on the #10 tee. This immediately disrupted the flow of play for our entire group. The situation became even worse because the five-player group was playing slowly. Anyone familiar with basic golf course management knows that allowing a group of five to start in the middle of other groups is already questionable…

I was part of the group with confirmed tee times from 1:00–1:20 PM on March 4. The situation on the back nine and the way the clubhouse staff handled it were very disappointing and unprofessional. The experience was so upsetting that it made us feel like we were being treated differently because we are Asian American. I hope the OWNER seriously reviews the service and management issues so this does not happen to other customers.

I can confidently say that this course is definitely worth checking out. The course boasts an impressive layout that challenges golfers of all skill levels. The views are breathtaking and the attention to detail in the course design and maintenance is simply impressive. The fairways and greens are in pristine condition, making it an absolute pleasure to play on. Aside from the actual course, the facilities at Lanier Islands Legacy Golf Course are top-notch. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and the clubhouse and amenities are simply fantastic. Whether you're a seasoned pro or a novice…
