In summary

Lenoir Golf Course is appreciated for its affordability and some challenging holes, making it a suitable option for golfers looking to improve their game. However, many visitors have raised concerns about the course's maintenance, including greens and bunkers, as well as issues with signage and drainage. Some also noted unsatisfactory interactions with staff and management, which detracted from their overall experience.

they kicked us pf the course after paying for 18 at 2:26. not one word was said about carts in at 6:00. I worked at verdict ridge and played a 100 other course and they are the only ones to pull some dumb stuff like that. waste of money

Came down for some winter golf from Boone. Not a good track for the money. 41$ to play. Greens in poor shape. Several half dead/unputtable. Cannot play out of bunkers because of cheap river sand with rocks in them. Putting green a complete mess. Actual winter weeds on that surface. Can only hit irons on the range. Range mats are garbage along with range balls are trash . Large bucket 10$ More expensive than anywhere else. What a joke. Lots of other good choices for same or similar money in the area. Not to mention the pro shop staff are generally rude. WISH COULD LEAVE LESS THAN ONE STAR TO BE…

I like this place ( haven't found a better price) and I understand that they have had some pretty critical weather issues (flood) in the past....but I spent the most time on this course this past summer and actually got my Lowest score yet there ...it certainly has some rough edges and I think the price reflects on that fact as well...but if you're just trying to get good at golf and don't mind a few rough greens and mud holes here and there... this place is GREAT...... LOL......

Refuse to let singles on a Saturday morning even if they have no tee times booked at all. Asked if I show up at 7AM and nobody is scheduled can I play and was angrily told you cannot play. I understand the idea and the policy, but turning people away when nobody is coming to play is bad business

Nice course priced well with pretty flat landscape. Needs better signage for next hole directions. Challenging with long par 4 holes. Played in a swamp all day so drainage may present an issue depending on the weather that week.

Lovely place, great bar with a view of the golf course, super fun! in August they have a Jack and Jill two-day tournament that I have friends that come from all over the country to play in so much fun....

Entrance sneaks up on you like a bad haircut — one minute you’re cruising, the next you’re at the gate wondering if you missed a turn into 1997. The pro shop has the essentials… if your essentials list includes disappointment and a tee selection that looks like someone raided a forgotten drawer. Smelled like a mix of nostalgia and cigarettes— a real time capsule. That said, Eddie was the MVP — super helpful, genuinely nice, probably the best part of the experience. The cart came with a thrilling “will-we-make-it” amount of gas (spoiler: we did). Course seemed mid-surgery with random patches…

Worst Course in the Area. Why would you put Caldwell Amateur there. Must not have a mower. Fairways cut like rough. Rough around greens like wire. And Greens are a Joke. Will never play Amateur again. If that's in rotation. If that's all Golf was I would never play again. And Playing in afternoon .WHAT A DAMN JOKE.

15-20% of every single green is missing…dirt and sand patches all over them. Not sure what’s going on here but it was a reminder to myself as to why I haven’t played here in years. Cart paths are so bad it’s almost dangerous. Course has potential but major drainage issues persist and it’s clearly not being maintained well AT ALL currently. Supposedly a Donald Ross track but that was 90 years ago and I can assure you he would not approve if he could see it now. A shame really. Avoid if possible.

The adage of "you get what you pay for" is true. This is not a $50+ course. I paid $20 through a hot deal and I feel I actually underpaid for what I got. A $35 course on average. Greens were great. Fairway was..trying to be there. Not tremendously bad. Not private condition either. Worth whatever hot deal you can find. A prior review mentions about an employee yelling at them. I did get the same on Hole 12...but I was in the wrong. It's a par 3 and you're supposed to remain on cart path on par 3's...and I didn't. Employee didn't fuss too badly at me but I did encounter it. I was in the wron…

They have been kind enough to host practice for Special Olympics athletes. I can not tell you how impressive this golf course is!
