In summary

Llano Grande Country Club receives positive feedback for its friendly and attentive staff, as well as its well-maintained front nine and challenging layout. Many visitors appreciate the reasonable pricing and enjoyable atmosphere, with some highlighting successful events and good food at the bar and grill. However, there are criticisms regarding inconsistent course conditions, particularly on the back nine, slow greens, and issues with cart availability and customer service.

Jan 2023. Front 9 is in excellent condition: fairways trimmed with some rough patches and standing water, however every green rolled smooth and offered a clean putt. Staff is attentive and wonderful (Marge!), people are friendly. A little pricey ($30/round with cart) and monthly membership fees around the same price as the McAllen Country Club.

Very strict on the no carts on the grass, I’ve been to nicer golf courses than, and worse, this place yet still treats its grass as if it’s holy ground. The grass is barren and dead dry in most places, if it isn’t dry it is completely muddy and a pain to walk through. Impossible to play at this course without either soaking your shoes or destroying your clubs in mud.

A fair value. Front nine in better shape than back nine. Some fairways are bare in places, not unexpected in Deep South Texas. Greens are slow, but puttable. Stay out of deep rough.

Worst customer service, cashier is saying and I quote “we are an inconvenience” cause there was a mistake on the amount of holes wanting to play that day Don’t get me started with the inept manager (possibly owner) was even worse when we were informed to go the next day to try to solve our issue and we were also threatened with the cops being called because we caught on to the false charges and “manager birthday special “ And to the trash can cleaner guy who made it very difficult to switch our golf cart cause the tire was exposing wires , he needs to learn proper customer care

Nice course in decent shape. Can make it hard or easy depending on tees.

This is the strangest thing I've ever seen on a clubhouse door during iffie weather. No raincheck. Of all the courses ive been to I've never seen this.

Good luck! Hard course with lots of dry spots and greens pretty thin. Very challenging course with greens being guarded with water holes.
