In summary

Tierra Santa Golf Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained course, beautiful layout, and friendly staff, making it a popular choice for both locals and visitors in the Rio Grande Valley. The club also offers appealing amenities, including a well-regarded bar and grill, and is noted for its suitability as a venue for events. However, some visitors have experienced issues with slow pace of play and management, particularly regarding tee time delays and course marshaling.

Got paired up with a group of 3 (as I booked a single tee time as I’m visiting from outta town) we all hit it off and had a great time! Great course even during the winter months! If your in the RGV just visiting this is one of the must stop courses! Wish I would have played here first day, would have skipped another course as this was far better than others in the area

I have been playing here every Sunday for the last month so far my favorite course in the upper Valley. Nice fairways & greens, I haven't been held up waiting behind anyone. And getting a bite to eat and a few drinks after playing 18 is a plus.

Winter Texans from Idaho visiting the RGV for the first time. The wife and I had a great time playing with members Steve and Joey. Beautifully well maintained course with a fun and fair layout. Pace of play was great as was the local company. Hopefully we will play again prior to heading North at the end of February.

My first round golfing at Tierra Santa was unfortunately spoiled by significant delays. From the start, a group of five teed off ahead of us—before the starter—which worsened the pace of play and resulted in a round lasting over five hours. Mind you every hole was backed up with most times two groups waiting at the box. The most frustrating moment came when the older gentleman course marshal instructed our twosome, and same was told to the group behind us, to "go ahead and tee off" while we were clearly waiting for the group ahead to clear before we teed off. This felt inconsistent, especiall…

Terrible experience: Firstly, the course was nearly an hour and forty-five minutes behind tee times. We didn't necessarily mind as we were out of town visiting friends but then they had the nerve to have the marshall running around the course harassing customers when we were 10 minutes ahead of pass the entire course. The worst part is the marshall wasn't enforcing play speed or course rules but making un-necessary commentary insulting our players like he him self was Tiger Woods. Nothing but a miserable old man who clearly is past his working days. Secondly, after confirming they would have…

My wife and I had our wedding ceremony at Tierra Santa Golf Course. We were able to utilize the area outside the clubhouse for the actual ceremony, and the inside (Tony's Grill) for our cocktail hour. Karla was extremely helpful throughout the entire process. She stayed in contact with us the from the time we booked the venue, to the day of the wedding. She was there on the day of the actual wedding and things went so smoothly because of her. The bartenders killed it! Guests really enjoyed the cocktails and how efficiently they were able to get their drinks. Oscar met with us prior to the day…

Very unprofessional to be yelled at by the maintenance crew about how fast play is going when we are all sitting waiting and they think it's okay to try to hit somebody's back pocket. I have never been yelled at at a golf course before and the sad thing is they didn't know I was looking for a membership at a golf course. I highly doubt I'll be this one now. I even called the club house when it happened. Wasted my money

Best course in the Rio Grande Valley, in my opinion. As a member, I may be biased; but with decent fairways and improved greens under the new superintendent, Tierra Santa is very playable now. Great scenery and wide fairways into large greens. The bunkers are all still pretty much unplayable, with more stones than sand, but at least it's not hard to miss them on approach...

Fun course, could be great if the greens come back. Friendly staff, wide fairways, playable rough... careful in the bunkers though, lots of rocks. The GPS units work well on most of the carts, with pretty accurate yardages.

Attended a small gathering at Tierra Santa. This is a gem away from hustle and bustle. Chicken wings were served as O' Dourves which were delicious. Service is great, staff is very friendly and attentive. Place nice and clean.

Really good golf corse but miss management makes bad grass quality. Especially green area grass was really bad. Ball was jumping almost every time for 18 holes.

Nice course, good shape, pace of play the only problem and that wasn't bad. Just a little slow.
