In summary

Los Lagos Golf Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained course and greens, challenging layout, and friendly staff, making it a popular choice in the Rio Grande Valley. Visitors appreciate the reasonable pricing, particularly for the driving range and food options. However, some guests have experienced issues with management communication, such as unannounced temporary greens and unexpected early closures, which have affected their overall experience.

Pretty good place! The course/driving range is beautiful and breezy. Greens roll fairly slow in early morning and pick up as it gets hotter. Would be nice if there were disclaimers online for school tourneys, not just when you get to the pro shop front desk (not a big deal to me, but maybe for other folks). Price for a large (more like medium-size) bucket of balls is 7 bucks. Very solid imo and worth the asking price Aside from that, it's definitely a place I could see myself coming back to!!

First of all I want to state that Im a new golfer, I can drive pretty straight and pretty far, however Im still working controlling my distances, and the shape of my shots. The main thing that I don't like about this golf club is that it has pretty narrow dogleg fairways with houses on both sides, and I always worrie about hitting to far and hitting a house. Other than that the fairways and greens are in pretty good condition.

Average course, terrible management. Unprofessional and unorganized. Booked 9 holes and they failed to mention 6 of 9 holes had “temporary greens” which consisted of a flag in the middle or the fairway. Another time, booked a tee time to show up and be told “our system crashed” and they lost all the tee times and wouldn’t honor the time I had book a week in advance.

Our RGV LIV group played a twilight on a Friday evening and no one told us at booking that we had to quit at 745. Plenty of daylight left. Cart guys came and stopped our play and escorted us back to the shop. Might as well just play 9 since that's all you'll probably get to play anyways. Will not come back for twilight.

Wanted to use their driving range, but the girl with braces at the front desk decided to continue her personal phone call for minutes before finally hanging up and acknowledging us. Had us starring at her, waiting, while she talked about her “tomorrow plans,” all just to tell us that they didn’t have any more range balls. Thanks for wasting our time, ma’am! Bad customer service leads to an overall bad image of the course… smh

Great challenging golf course. Definitely stands out amongst plenty to choose from courses in the valley. The staff is great and professional. Stopped at the grill at the turn and grabbed a couple of dogs and drinks. Prices were more than reasonable, not trying to make all their money on food.

Only used the driving range. Good value. Make sure to call first if there has been any rain. The driving range was closed after a brief rain the night before on one of my visits.
