In summary

Tierra del Sol Golf Club receives positive feedback for its friendly staff and enjoyable layout, with some visitors appreciating the bird-watching opportunities. However, many reviews highlight significant issues with course maintenance, including poor fairway and green conditions, inadequate water management, and general neglect, which detracts from the overall experience. Additionally, there are concerns about the value for money given the current state of the course.

Very disappointment with this golf course. Doesn’t seem to have progress for the past year. Good amount of holes are car path only and the fairways are still horrible. It’s better to be on the rough than the fairways. This last time I went didn’t even finish the 18 holes of how bad it was.

It's an ok course. There was a lot of water on the course this morning and a lot of varied grass heights. Greens were in pretty good shape. Most fairways were okay although some were definitely on the dry and patchy side. The course overall is enjoyable to play. It wasn't too busy and the service is good. If you're an avid bird watcher, this place is for you. And crazy amount of birds. We'll play here again.

No doubt worst golf course in the valley; had a terrible experience hot day, hadn’t rained and the tee boxes, greens, and whatever the “fairways” are were soaking wet horrible course would not go back.

I played at Tierra Del Sol Golf Course in Pharr, Texas last year, and the conditions back then weren’t great. I came back this year for a tournament, and I was really impressed by how much it has improved. The course looks and plays so much better now — a huge difference from before!

We’ve played this course several times and I swore the last time, I wouldn’t play there again. We decided to give it another shot because it was easy to get an early morning tee time (I guess for a reason). However, this will be the last time we golf there again. Conditions were terrible. There was even a dirty diaper on the last hole near the green. The director/manager came by our cart because my son was sitting on the driver side PARKED because it had more shade while I was putting and made him move over. Overall, it just made for very bad experience. Proshop was a joke. For the price you’r…

This course is in desperate need of water!!!!! I never see sprinklers running. The new grass that has come in is going to die due to lack of adequate and knowlegeable grounds-keeping. So play here if you like to hit off brown dusty dead grass. The greens are nice , but need water. The layout is very nice but needs MORE WATER. What a shame!!! It could be a 5 star course with WATER, lots and lots of water. I guess we will have to pray for rain.

I used to play here when my father was working here last. He kept the greens really nice and now ever since he left everything went downhill... might as well make it a park for Plantation Residents

I’ve been golfing every weekend for years, and this was by far one of the most unpleasant courses I’ve visited. While I understand that golf courses have certain rules, this place completely lacks empathy — especially toward families with children. What truly set me off was the behavior of their director. My wife and I each had our own carts, and we had our two small children sitting on the driver’s side to stay shaded while we putted. Instead of showing basic understanding, the director came over and demanded that we move them to the right side of the seat — completely unnecessary and overdr…

Yolanda provided great customer service. I have been to many golf courses around the US and no one has treated me as friendly as the staff from Tierra del Sol! Give them a raise 👍🏽

Course overall need lots of maintenance. They also need more staff to clean the restaurant/bath area.

While the course is technically playable, it is in very bad condition. The fairways are in need of major repair, the tee boxes are blending into the surrounding dirt. The greens were in the best shape compared to the rest of the course. This course is in bad shape and something needs to be done soon, otherwise it will be a total loss.
