I had no idea there was this much sand in Pennsylvania. All joking aside, the highlands was a well laid out course that presents a number of challenges to the seasoned golfer, mostly avoid the beaches. Well manicured fairways and greens help in the endeavor but your shots need to be well played. All said a beautiful course to play.

Great track in Eastern PA. Traditional course with links feel on a few holes and par 3s. A few reachable par 4s from blues, 3 iron and 3/5 wood are your best friends there. Tight fairways and large bunkers protect the greens nicely. Wind can be brutal (up to 25-30mph gusts). Pace of play has been decent, only 1 really slow round out of 7 this year

We had a celebration of life in the outdoor tent last Saturday. Everything was amazing! Melissa, the event planner and 1 of the bartenders that night, did an outstanding job. She was always available to answer questions, give us suggestions and ideas, and checked in with us multiple times the day of the event to make sure everything was going well. She is such a kind person. She and the rest of the staff went above and beyond. All of the staff were kind and helpful. The food was excellent. The views were beautiful. We can't say enough about Makefield Highlands and their staff! We will definite…

This course used to be an awesome place to golf. Not sure what happened but the place is now very disappointing . They post on there website about having a great range, that is an absolute lie. They have mats that have so many lumps and slopes. On the weekends they will sometimes have a “grass range” it’s just a patch of dirt with no grass. The tee boxes on the course have craters and is impossible to hit within the markers. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

Nice links style course and welcoming staff. Good clubhouse and practice facility including range, chipping/bunker and dedicated putting green. Played the front 9 and the course layout was enjoyable. Tees and greens were in good shape but the fairways were satisfactory many areas need work but it didn’t impact play. If fairways were in great shape like the greens and tee boxes then I would give a 5/5. I’d still recommend this course to someone.

A links-style course! A newer one at that making it a must play. Back tees and back back tees make it a course that can host championships. Facilities are top-notch with a nice enough clubhouse-grill and patio to bring in non-golfing locals for dinner. The course itself can seem easy on some days and hard on others, as wide fairways and large greens smear your depth perception. Staying on course (shortest distance to the green) is an important strategy as those fairways do a good job leading you away from the hole and you use a longer club for your approach. The 15th hole is certainly a challe…

Stopped in on the way down to Philly, last minute tee time. Didn't have any expectations. Boy was I impressed! Greens are in fantastic shape, as are the sand traps. $58 to walk 18. Beautiful clubhouse and range facilities. Highly recommend Makefield!!

Makefield Highlands is a fantastic golf course. The greens and fairways are gorgeous. They were more than accommodating for a golf benefit. The staff is professional and helpful. I’ll definitely be returning. I also enjoyed the scenery.

Wide open can basically hit it anywhere greens are usually pretty good condition. Not the fastest but not slow either. Just a fun round.

Played a great round of golf here today. Course was in very good shape despite lack of rain in 10 days. Layout is challenging with several blind tee shots and few flat fairways. Bunkers and water come into play often. Course has more hills and bumps than expected. Greens were in great shape and rolled well. PLUS the smoked hot dogs at the turn were delicious. Highly recommend. Looking forward to playing again.

💎 💎 💎 track, challenging. Makes you think what club to pull often. Snagged a bonus warm weather winter day here. Full bar and top tracer bays available. All golf amenities you can think of. Great place and not super expensive. Will be booking more tee times most certainly.
