What People Say

In summary

McCabe Golf Course is appreciated for its convenient location, well-maintained greens, and friendly staff, making it a popular choice among locals and visitors in Nashville. The course offers a straightforward layout with multiple 9-hole options, which some find accessible for beginners. However, there are recurring complaints about the slow pace of play, inconsistent customer service, and occasional maintenance issues, particularly with tee boxes and bunkers.

One of my very favorite places to go for a long walk! My dogs love it and it is the perfect distance. I love that you can loop around and do it more than once if you'd like!

Great simple course in a perfect location... greens are always in phenomenal shape, better than a lot of the "clubs" in nashville... Staff is always very helpful and organized which is appreciated... Would 100% recommend giving this place a go if in nashville

shit range, rude staff, say they don’t have tee times but they do. have to wait a lot. if theirs a lady at the front desk she’s horrible. she said i can’t pay with card but theirs a card reader less than a foot away. someone came up to the desk seconds later and they took the card. don’t bring kids here.

For the price the course is not in good condition at all. Most of the tee boxes are terrible and the bunkers are even worst. If short of personnel, try offering incentives to people to help at the course to help get it in shape. Need more marshals to oversee the course. Try closing one nine at a time and work on it so it can become the beautiful course it is.

One of the best public courses in Nashville behind Harpeth Hills. Staff is friendly and helpful and the course has its challenges but is pretty straight forward. Shot a 41 on a 9-hole when I played last. Local tip: if you show up after clubhouse is closed you can walk onto the course and play a few holes. I asked the cart guy that was still around before I did so, and he was chill.

From what I was told, this is the busiest public golf course in Nashville. I have only played McCabe twice, but the pro shop staff was friendly and the course was in decent condition. I played my last round with a very friendly group of players. If you're traveling to this part of the city, I would recommend trying this golf course...👍✌️💪

This course is great! I've never played golf even once, and this course isn't an exception. But I come here at night sometimes with my friend and we like to creep each other out here. The caddy wheelers can carry a small teenager.

A well run golf course. New balls on driving range evaluate the entire experience. Given the amount of play, the golf staff does an amazing job to accommodate walk ons and those with tee times. Side note: you will always feel better about your golf game here as its a very gettable low scoring course.

It’s hard to say anything good about this experience if you enjoy a decent game of golf. From not answering their phone (when they do have tee times available), to not being able to make a tee time for a single golfer. You’ll have a 3 hour 9-hole round after looking for somewhere to jump in right quick on an afternoon. It’s basically a BRAND new golfers spot. If you’ve played more than 5 rounds in your life, this is not the place for you. The chipping area away from the club is the only positive and has better greens than the actual course.

We’ve been to McCabe many times, and every single visit leaves us feeling unwelcome and dismissed. The staff’s attitude consistently makes it seem like they couldn’t care less whether we’re there or not. There’s no friendliness, no effort, and absolutely no sense that they value our business, even as returning customers. We’ve given them chance after chance, hoping for a better experience, but it’s always the same cold, dismissive treatment. It’s incredibly frustrating to support a business that shows zero appreciation for its patrons. McCabe seriously needs to rethink how it treats people, be…

It's hard to rate McCabe properly because we went while it was officially closed, so it was free, but we had to walk it. The course was good, quality, & playable, but not gorgeous. I would return, but I don't know what costs are so I can't rate that part.

Absolutely horrendous experience at McCabe Golf Course today. While I'll begrudgingly admit the course itself was in good condition, that's the only positive thing I can say. The entire outing was ruined before we even hit a ball by an extremely hostile and unhelpful guy in the pro shop. He was completely unfriendly from the moment we walked in, and when we encountered issues – specifically being forced to tee off a full HOUR after our scheduled time – he offered no solutions, no apologies, and absolutely zero assistance. His attitude was so unbelievably off-putting that it overshadowed any po…
