Moanalua Golf Club

This is a 9 hole course with a mix of parking 3's, 4's, and 5's. The condition of the course is pretty rough. The course is located in a valley, and shots will typically role with the slope of the mountain. Tee boxes were not cut, grass looked like the the rough, and some tee boxes were sandy. The fairway grass was pretty thick, and it was hard to tell the difference between the rough and fairway. The grass is not the typical type of grass you find on golf courses. Definitely not the nicest course on Oahu, but that doesn't mean it's not a good time. I love to come here and walk 9 (which is only 20 bucks) to both get some exercise as well as practice all aspects of my game. It's also a great option for if you want to bring friends that are new to the game since there aren't really any hazards or bunkers, and the course is relatively easy. Right now the ground is pretty hard and dry, so its hard to take divots, and the greens are usually pretty slow. The course layout is also a highlight, some unique holes that are pretty fun. An enjoyable 9 hole course that is tourist friendly. Very friendly staff made sure I would have rental clubs waiting for my round and balls to purchase. 5 stars to the staff and four stars to the course, would definitely play again.

I’ve been playing here the past 4 weeks 3 times a week to help my golf game. As a beginner I like this course because I can play alone and take my time learning from every shot. It’s really good practice rounds for me because it’s challenging and fun. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It’s not a prime place for top golfers and I like that because I’m a beginner and feel comfortable practicing there with no pressure to rush or play at a high level. I don’t want to sound mean, but this is the worst golf course I’ve ever played on. The course is mostly dirt with a few random patches of grass. The holes aren’t marked, and if you’re walking, there are no paths or signs showing where to go. There are no distance markers to the flag either. It’s a scam, not a golf course. And they charge $40 for this mess! Honestly, I wanted to ask for my money back. The staff are nice, but the course itself is not. My advice: don’t play here.

Really enjoyed the course. Nice and challenging (for an amateur like me) with lots of elevation changes. Not "perfectly manicured" but well taken care of IMO, especially given the only $20 charge to walk 9. Very laid back and unpretentious place, which I like. Didn't get a chance to try the restaurant this time, but I'll definitely be back.

This is a 9 hole golf course that has some challenging blind shots either up the hill or down (8th hole) and a few ravines. I went during the week and it wasn't crowded and played two balls. If you are looking for a course with some challenges but is pretty open and not feeling rushed then this is a good course to check out. The food isn't too bad either.

Absolutely perfect spot to play a casual 9 holes. Staff is superb and extremely kind. Great views with some elevation change. Greens are true.

Surprisingly, this is a challenging nine hole course. You can play nine or 18 with par three, four, and five holes. No teetimes required, max wait is about 10 minutes for a tee time. Pretty windy but offers a bit more challenge.

For your money, you can’t really get a better deal. Paid $60 for the two of us on a weekday morning in February 2024. Super friendly starter, greens were on the smaller side but other then the final 9th hole, the course was relatively friendly and hazard free. Unfortunately we didn’t get to try the restaurant - will have to be back next time!

This is a 9 hole golf course and is decently priced if you golf with a member (not sure how much otherwise). It has challenging holes and some pretty fun ones as well. There is a good elevating change halfway through that plays into a nice downhill shot on the 8th hole.

Not saying this is the most scenic quentisial Hawaii course. But if you want a quick round with some interesting holes, this will do the job. Easy to get to and a bargain. Nice staff that let us borrow clubs for my son. Booked it on Golf now for only $25 a player. Local vibes at the restaurant
