Montclair Country Club

It was one of my favorite places. It was a good place for price and condition, but the condition was not good 3 weeks ago. The tee box and the green were disastrous. I hope this course recovers soon. The fun course is obvious. I want to go back if this place recovers. One more. I always ask for pin numbers when I check in at the pro shop, but they always say they don't know. I want a pin number sign.

I give this one extra star because the golf cart that I used was in good shape. Most of the fairways are in decent shape, 3 out of 5. The tee boxes and greens were the worst I have ever played on. Lot of bare spots on the greens with lots of crab grass. Most of the tee boxes where they set the white tees was nothing but dirt. So hard I broke a tee trying to tee up my ball. I would have to say the price was the cheapest in Northern Virginia. This course is for beginners only. I would not recommend it for intermediate or advanced players.

Thoroughly enjoyed the course, fairly difficult due to the hills but still a fun place to play 18 rounds. The T boxes were not kept up at all, but the greens and fairways were very good. The cart path had some large holes, but it was fun going through the neighborhood from hole to hole. Very friendly staff. Excellent course that needs a bit of upkeep, a must try!

For the price this course is really nice!! There is a lot of water and trouble on this course if you’re not hitting it pure. I had one of my better ball striking days so I didn’t have to deal with all of the hazards, fortunately. The course also wasn’t very crowded, which was really nice. Very enjoyable!

Really expected abysmal conditions today, based on the reviews here. Couldn't have been happier to see I was wrong--this was a nice hidden gem. Some of the tee boxes and some of the greens needed work, but that's the case this year in many mid-range courses across northern Virginia. There were beautiful, challenging fairways. I lost so many balls to the trees and marshy areas, but that's because of my skills, not the maintenance. I was surprised how many houses were very close to the fairway. But the course was fun and the day was beautiful and I will definitely be visiting again!

All the people were super nice and the greens are in solid shape. Unfortunately, that's about where the positives end. Cart path is a disaster. Fairways are riddled with dirt patches. Rough is weeds. Trees need to be cut back especially on par threes. But the price is right and the service was great. Hope the staff can bring this course back to condition.

If it wasn't so expensive, I would have rated it one more star. Tree's need trimming for the grass to grow. A few nice challenging holes here.

Not worth it. $70 for 18 and a cart, but even if it was $40 it would be hard to justify. I should’ve taken photos but holes 1-8 greens were terrible. 2 of them had big patches that were actually very torn up and dark brown dead. Overall the greens were bad. Holes 9-18 had some better greens with 3-4 looking good, but that’s not a good percentage. The fairways also were super narrow with dense forests so if you didn’t hit perfectly straight you’d lose your ball. The range wasn’t anything nice and the clubhouse store was lacking organization. Save your money or play somewhere else. Might be the worst course in the area. Greens are usually decent but they are terrible at the moment. Dead spots and extremely slow. Tee boxes are terrible and smells like dead fish/animals around the course. Would not recommend at the moment

Where do I even start. I played 18 holes the other day on this course and had the worst time of my life. the only thing nice about this course is the greens which are fairly maintained. However good luck teeing off from any hole on this course. your better off taking a drop in the woods rather than hitting out of what seemed to be the rough which they called the tee boxes. Also beware of the tunnels of death on the course where your cart barely fits inside and you have a possibility of dying to bats that live inside of this thing. Other than that good course🤨🤨

Been golfing here for years and it’s always been one of my go to’s for solid practice on a challenging course, have supported this course for at least the last 5 years. Terrible experience yesterday, guy had a weird power attitude at the front desk, I think his name was Quzir. Wouldn’t allow me to check in my girl friend using a voucher. Kept saying my girlfriend has me to be physically in the golf shop to check in. Wouldn’t allow me to pay for her and me at the same time. He made it borderline creepy. After 10-15 minutes of back and forth for the check in we were waited another 5-10 minutes…
