In summary

Forest Greens Golf Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained course conditions, engaging layout, and excellent value for money, making it a popular choice among golfers in Northern Virginia. The course offers a challenging and scenic experience, particularly on the back nine, with friendly staff contributing to the overall positive experience. However, some visitors have reported issues with customer service and occasional maintenance concerns, such as cart path conditions and bunker quality, which can detract from the experience for some.

Forest Greens Golf Club (Triangle, VA) Played: Early morning weekend tee time. Located off I-95, just south of Woodbridge. 1. Course Layout: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4/5) The layout offers a fun and interesting mix, especially on the back nine, which is noticeably more challenging than the front. There are elevation changes, blind tee shots, and creative hole designs—not championship level, but definitely engaging for a budget-friendly course. 2. Course Condition: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4/5) For a course consistently under $100, the conditions are impressive. Fairways and greens are well-maintained, even during the win…

Disc Golf Coarse at Forest Green. Good for the beginner and intermediate player. We played 9 holes. Well built landings to throw from (2 to 3 per hole) and two baskets to choose from (blue/shorter or Yellow/longer). I got about 3000 steps in playing 9.

What a wonderful course, especially considering it’s a public course with an enormous amount of play. Right now, mid-October, the course is in the best shape I’ve ever seen it. Since the fairways are Bermuda grass, they do thin out in the winter and grow back in the spring, but they’re still playable, and by the middle of June they’re usually excellent. The greens are always exceptional, and they’ve re-done a number of tees with a different type of grass, and from what I’m told they will redo all of the tees. There are no houses on the course, and once you tee off, you begin to wind your way…

I arrived at 6:55 AM, checked the website, and it showed the pro shop as open. I walked in, said “good morning,” and the older white man inside immediately started yelling at me to get out because they “weren’t open.” No explanation — just instant hostility. The way he spoke to me was flat-out racist. His tone, his attitude, and the disrespect were directed at me in a way that I do not believe for one second he would use toward a white golfer. It was clear who he thought didn’t belong there. I only got the monthly membership to play with my friends, but after experiencing blatant racism on m…

Decent course for the price. The layout is interesting and keeps you guessing throughout the round, however most of the bunkers need work and the rough/fairways are patchy in many spots. Overall if you are golfing on a budget I would recommend coming here to play for a good price.

This is one of the best public courses in the area, especially for the price! Today is the first time I played here this year and the course was in good condition. The greens were in good condition as well.

Played here for the first time in several years. Deleted my old four star review and now adding a five-star review. Really impressed by what they're doing with the greens. This place is in absolutely fantastic shape. Well worth the money -- very reasonable. My son is taking lessons your First Tee and really enjoying it as well. Highly recommend.

I don’t see how anyone can complain about the conditions of this track. Fairways were all in pretty good shape aside from one that was under repair. There are some potholes in the cart path but big deal. Only thing I didn’t like were the range mats aren’t very nice. Very hilly so a lot of fun elevation changes. Challenging course but plays fair. Quality of the course is well above the greens fee.

Freindly people at the clubhouse. Course seems well maintained and isn’t expensive. Good monthly rate. One of the best golf courses in a 50 mile area. Very pretty fairways and well maintained course.

I had the best golf experience today at the course on August 11, 2025. The greens were in mint condition, the fairways looked like they were also greens and bunkers works perfectly. I read some negative comments, but I highly recommend visiting the course again to see the difference. Congratulations to the staff who maintain the course.

Well maintained course and the staff were friendly and helpful. It is a pretty challenging course with mostly uneven, rolling fairways, lots of elevation changes within holes, and a decent amount of blind shots. I hit a ton of shots with the ball above or below my feet.

Nice course, well maintained. Great service from the staff too. Only recommendation would be to put water coolers throughout the course (at least 1 or 2 per 9 holes). I’ve played almost all courses in DMV and pretty much all of them have coolers out there for their golfers. Hope to be back here playing soon!
