In summary

Northwood Golf Course is appreciated for its well-maintained greens, challenging layout, and friendly staff, making it a favored spot for both locals and visitors. The course has seen significant improvements under new ownership, including updated facilities and a welcoming atmosphere, with amenities like affordable hot dogs and drinks enhancing the experience. However, some visitors have noted issues with the driving range, tee boxes, and occasional maintenance lapses, though these are generally outweighed by the course's overall value and enjoyment.

We visited on a Saturday morning. The greens were in good shape. The fairways were a bit grassy. The course was challenging. The staff was friendly. The dress was very casual. Most players were in proper attire but some were in tshirt and shorts and some ladies just in small tank tops. Ranger drove around to ensure all was well. All in all a good course to play on.

Wow! What an awesome place!! The greens, fairways, tee boxes, and even the sand traps were all well groomed and spectacular. (Definitely leaps and bounds ahead of how it’s been in the past). All new gas powered golf carts. Friendly Staff. Great Hot Dogs. Cold beer and Seltzers! We had a great time!! If you haven’t been there in a while, or never been, you gotta give it a try!!! I’ll be back!

I visited my nephews and enjoyed golfing at this nice and friendly country golf course. The fairways were nice I found the greens in great shape and were very honest, not slow not too fast but a nice challenge. So if you're ever in the area give this golf course a try I think you will like it.

Played here today in down pouring rain. Had a great time. Lady running shop was friendly. Course held up nicely in all the rain. Fun 18 holes. Only thing I wish they had was more information on membership and seasonal pricing. Fall/spring rates. My wife and I are considering a membership here but haven’t been able to get that information yet. Hotdogs on the turn were great! Then swung into the 19th hole for a bite to eat and of course a Good boy! Overall it was great. Other golfers were very friendly no one forcing pace of play down anyone’s throat. Loved the environment. Great family friendly…

This is a hidden gem. Great for a family outing, and the atmosphere is laid back. Fair layout with a good mix of challenging and more straightforward holes.

Newaygo County in Michigan may be best known for its natural resources and outdoor activities, but you may not be aware of all the great and challenging golf courses the county has to offer.. Northwood Family Traditions Golf Course fell on hard times a few years ago and the new owners are determined to return it to its original glory. While it’s still a little rough around the edges in some spots it’s player-friendly and provides a challenge. There’s a small irons-only driving range and a putting green to get you warmed up before heading to the 1st – or 10th - tee. Northwoods offers just two…

I haven’t been here in a couple years. Lots of changes. New golf carts, remodeled clubhouse, the course and driving range are in nice shape, very comfortable ( three dollars for bucket of balls), and not over crowded on a beautiful day.
