In summary

Oak Gables Golf Club & Learning Centre is appreciated for its friendly and accommodating staff, reasonable pricing, and suitability for beginners and intermediate players, with a layout that offers a mix of challenges and scenic views. The club is particularly praised for its well-organized ladies' league and welcoming atmosphere. However, some visitors have noted that the course conditions, particularly the greens, can be inconsistent, and there have been occasional concerns about the behavior of the owner.

This course is very amateur. There’s too much happening in terms of people all over the place. The golf Carts are electric and barely move, fairways and greens not manicured. There’s one fairway where there’s an open area where people have been having camp fires. Would not recommend.

Course conditions are pretty bad for this time of year. Most greens were either cut at different lengths or so full of divots it wouldn't matter where you putt from, there will be interference. Staff were pleasant and accommodating though. Would have rated a little lower but their carts have the best cushions I've experienced all season. Good course for practice at best.

Second year in the Ladies league here. So well organized and lots of people to golf with! Each week the ladies play a fun game while out for 9 holes. They organize a tournament once a month for the ladies with great prizes and a dinner. Staff is amazing! If you are thinking of joint a ladies league in the Hamilton Ancaster area, this one is it. And oh the sunsets are beautiful!

It's a nice little course, good for beginners or if you wanna work on your short game. My son and I played the yellow (maple) nine and then the white nine. They are both quite hilly but short. I preferred the white nine especially the 6th hole. It's a downhill 309 yard hole. Rates were reasonable although we played at twilight. I will come back with my son to play the red nine sometime.

I have been Golfing here for many years. It is one of my favourite places to golf in the city. All 3 9’s are great but Maple is probably my favourite. The Family and staff that runs the course are amazing super nice people that do an excellent job.

Greens where pretty rough shape as well as bridges were out and one hole was in the middle of a fairway while greens were getting repaired. Overall it's an ok course but needs alot of work

Incredibly well-organized with plenty of ladies to golf with! Every week, there’s a fun game planned during the 9-hole rounds, which keeps things exciting. Plus, they host a monthly ladies’ tournament complete with fantastic prizes and a delicious dinner afterward. The staff are friendly, helpful, and make you feel welcome from day one. If you’re considering joining a ladies’ league in the Hamilton-Ancaster area, this is definitely the one to choose!

Decent golf course great for kids and new adults to learn. Grew up playing here may be small for some experienced players but still a challenge. Great place

Nice place But what an ignorant owner Thanx Andrew for acting over privileged and showing your ignorance I definitely will put out to all my followers to choose another course . It's not hard to be kind to good people. You are not better than anyone.
