In summary

Painted Dunes Golf Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained courses, beautiful desert scenery, and friendly, accommodating staff, making it a favorite among many golfers in the El Paso area. The club offers a variety of course layouts, which are generally in good condition, and the amenities, including a well-stocked clubhouse, are appreciated by visitors. However, some golfers have noted issues such as slow pace of play, particularly during busy times, and occasional service-related concerns.

My favorite course. Beautiful views, cold water through out the course. Open fairways greens are amazing. Not a fan of the north course fells a little neglected. Bit over all amazing.

PD was for a long time my home course, I’ve had the best experiences on that course, my best score, lots of tournament specially the golf wars where my wife and I went with our costumes all staff are very friendly and they always find a way to help you out, the best course in El Paso definitely, trust me this is a review from an avid golfer!

Love the course layout, favorite course in the el paso area so far. Well maintained course and a friendly staff. Have only played west and north so far but east is supposed to be even better. Some of the fairways are tough due to no grass but about what you expect in the area.

Pros. The greens were in good condition. Cons. There was practically no rough just fairways and greens. Fairways were way too narrow for not having any rough. If you missed the fairway you were playing from rocks and dirt. The 60 dollars I paid for a twilight tee time I want back. Very Poor course, would not go back

I suck at golf but the course and staff are great. I see this coyote every time I go.

Decent course, but anything after 1pm during the winter months is gonna be speed golf..sun sets around 445pm and they stack the tee times so that there are 2 or 3 groups per hole...be ready to just hit the ball and move!

Greens very dry and very fast which helped my game immensely. Accuracy is key here.

Arrived at 6:45 and asked for some range balls. Guy in the front tells me the range is closed. There’s 6 golfers on the range. As I was pulling away absolutely baffled, another golfer pulls out TWO BUCKETS OF BALLS. Can someone explain to me why I was denied 50 range balls?

Friendly staff and course. Favorite part was seeing the desert wild life. Lots of regulars and good pace of play. Well maintained greens. Just gets a little windy in the evenings.

Dropped by Painted Dunes on my January 22, 2020 visit to El Paso, Texas and found a vibrant friendly club. I received a mid morning tee time to the wonderfully maintained East Course and thoroughly enjoyed my round. This is an amazing track with excellent winter Bermuda greens. What I especially liked was the well manicured desert borders of the fairways making it easy to find wayward drives. The clubhouse had a nice selection of Under Armour and Callaway clothing. Midweek rounds were just $26 reflecting a modest $1 increase over 2019 rates. The Event center caters to Weddings and quince…

Green's and good shape, bunkers and good shape, you just need a little bit more card action for drinks. It's hot out there

The staff was absolutely incredible. I called as I was on my way into town to see if they could get me on for a quick nine before heading to the hotel. I pulled into the parking lot at 5:25 and the guys in the shop got me out right away. The course was in great shape and an absolute joy to play. Highly recommend checking out Painted Dunes to anyone in the area for a taste of Desert Golf.
