In summary

Underwood Golf Complex receives praise for its friendly and accommodating staff, scenic views, and enjoyable layout, particularly on the Sunrise course. However, many visitors express concerns about the overall course maintenance, citing issues such as poor fairway conditions, irrigation problems, and unkempt greens, which detract from the playing experience. While some appreciate the affordability and amenities like the driving range, others feel the course requires significant improvements to meet expectations.

Staff is good. They’re friendly. But the course is in horrible conditions, they charge $44 for a 11:40am Sunday tee time when it should be maybe $15 for how the course is. Terrible shape. Used to be nice maybe a year or two ago.

Well, it's really not that bad, 😂, yes, the condition is not as good as other courses, no matter it's their tee boxes, fairways, or greens, but I would sincerely give 3 stars to its scenary, as there's some holes, the design of the little pond and weeping willows, in the cold winter time, somehow it's romantic. Need to mention the wind mill between Hole 2&3 of Sunrise course, also Hole 10 of Sunset, the view to the green against the rows of trees and Franklin Mountain, bravo !!!

Worst course conditions I've ever played. They said they're planning to close this course so I'm guessing they stopped putting any money into it a while back. Tees were bare or had weeds a foot tall... or both. Fairways were all but non-existent. Hard pan and dirt were far more prevalent than grass in fairways. Greens were less than stellar. I wouldn't play it again.

Got a quick round in here before flying out of town. Greens were in great shape! Fairways were a bit patchy but decent overall. Course staff was very accommodating. Rental clubs were a nice set: Taylormade Qi

I remember this course used to be in decent shape, and when they closed the 2nd 18 I had hopes they could put more money into it, but that is not the case. Patches of sand on greens and dry spots that make even 3ft putts a guessing game of pinball bounces. Why the military can't use a fraction of the trillions of dollars to make this course fun to play. I will not be coming back and I would recommend going anywhere else. Also, the ball washers do not have water. Pathetic!

The range and ball conditions were poor. I wonder what the golf course is like.

It’s so sad to see this place just getting neglected like it is. It could be in great shape but almost every hole has busted sprinkler lines. They should be fined with the amount of water that is wasted at this golf course. Fairways super dry or no grass but the cart path next to it has large puddles. This is on EVERY hole! I took a couple of pictures. The greens are probably the only decent thing there and they just punched probably a month ago. With so much real estate there’s no reason they should let this course go. Is this a government issue or a ownership issue. Something needs to be don…

Went there for a special event. Facility was nice and clean, the staff was very friendly and kept checking on us to see if we wanted anything. MWR does a great job for the Bliss comunity. The food served for the event was good and the tables were nice set up. They had games and other activities.

Worst course in Texas. Badly maintained, greens have fungus and are unplayable, fairways are hardpack mud. Rarely gets mowed. Don't waste your time or money. It is a disgrace!

The sunrise golf course is nice and a decent place to practice your golf game. The sunset course has been basically abandoned and it's not even playable, in my opinion. I played the sunset course about 15 months ago for the last time. Mainly because it was in such bad shape that I damaged my 8 iron hitting a ball from just outside the fairway, it wasn't even in the rough. I hit a huge rock that wasn't readily visible from my point of view when I went to hit my ball. Never again will I play that course. Unless they fix it completely and it's been a while since it got fixed and the majority of r…

$45 to play a quick 9 with my wife as a rider ? Course was very unkept and almost unplayable, trash was everywhere, carts were in terrible condition mechanically and aesthetically, and the signage was confusing when navigating the course. Soldiers deserve better than this, by far the worst DOD course I’ve played at.
