Ascarate Municipal Golf Club

The interesting part of playing here is that you literally play golf right by the border 🤣 You see the cars passing by both sides of the border, need to be careful when you drive out your balls of each hole. like Hole 16 particularly, the reed in between the tee off box and green makes the entire hole ⛳ such a beautiful scenery. And followed by Hole 17, which you'll need to drive your ball over a pond, fun and challenging.

If you are looking for overpriced golf courses with horrible fairways & be harrassed constantly while playing to the point you can't sit down, this is the place to go! Mike Zarate will ensure you leave annoyed, cheek pain, and with zero golfing due to him constantly harassing you throughout your golf time.

Absolutely the worst golf experience I’ve ever had. I’ve played many public courses, but Ascarate was by far the worst. The course was in terrible condition — a mix of desert dirt, mud, and dead yellow grass with no clear fairways. Everything looked the same and felt completely neglected. Every tee shot landed in dirt, and I even damaged my clubs trying to hit from these awful lies. The surface was so hard and patchy, it was unplayable. Played today,3.21.26 course looks much better now that summers about here, fairways can use more grass as there is lots of dry spots but man the greens are pure-very nice. I would go as far to say best greens in El Paso. Nice to see this course making a good comeback.

Don't come here unless you feel like being insulted by the old man with glasses behind the counter. Was here for a school tournament and needed a golf cart. I went up to the counter on 3 different occasions asking for a golf cart and received 3 different excuses why I couldn't rent one. On the 3rd try, he tried to make me feel stupid and respond to me by telling me I dont understand " golf language".. my family are avid golf players so I indeed understand golf lingo. Very beautiful and large lake~♡ We went to the lantern festival. Just the view and landscape are amazing here in Elpaso~♡ love it!! We really enjoyed it!!

Nice course for a good time with friends! Really hot so bring a lot of water! They do have a Cart girl that drives around selling it too tho! They have cart and club rentals and also don’t have a very strict dress code!

The weather was great. My son had a tournament here. I don't know too much about golf but the course looked good.

Course was decent but not the best I've seen before. You will still have fun and make the best out of it. The kitchen though sucks, the waitress would rather stare at the ATM and see how much money she doesn't have then attend customers. Horrible service for the kitchen wouldn't recommend.

Great time at the Delta 9, it’s on a first come first serve basis. Get there early to avoid the heat and humidity. Was able to go in and out and knock out the course in good timing.

Great for fishing, walking, cookouts and all other outdoor activities definitely recommend!⛳️🏌️‍♂️

Not in amazing condition but is a great playable course for a good price. Played early on a Friday and pace of play was good, better condition than you would expect for the price and it being in el paso.
