In summary

Palisade State Park Golf Course is frequently praised for its stunning scenery, well-maintained grounds, and challenging yet enjoyable layout, which includes unique holes and elevated tee shots. The friendly staff and reasonable pricing add to its appeal, making it a favorite for both beginners and experienced golfers. However, some visitors note that the greens can be particularly difficult to navigate, and there are occasional issues with golf etiquette and the condition of bunkers and carts.

Stunning course. Decent price shop and friendly staff. Greens are very tricky so watch out! Will absolutely be visiting again.

My family and I have been golfing here several times. It's a great golf course with beautiful scenery. It is very popular though, so you definitely need to make a reservation for a tee time like most golf courses. Definitely beginner and advanced players on the course so some patients are needed. This is a yearly trip for our family and something that will always be in our memory book. The course itself is maintained very well. The staff is friendly and It also has a little restaurant on site. They've recently added a driving range in the last year and it's a great addition.

Absolutely beautiful course that is kind of tucked away. It has such beautiful views all around the course, and some really fun but challenging holes, including a par 3 where you have to hit across a ravine. Definitely not an easy course, but worth playing for sure. Be aware if you’re there on a Sunday the cafe closes in the early afternoon, so make sure to bring your own drinks/food.

This is a really nice, and somewhat hidden, course. It’s very well maintained, the prices were pretty decent, the staff were excellent and the scenery was gorgeous! As for the difficulty it was moderate, 6/10. Some holes were really tough but there’s also a 70 yard par 3. It would be perfect for beginners or kids who are working on learning the game, but those who have played for years will find it fun as well. Now for the downside: given it’s location, next to a campground and lake, and where it is in the state there was next to no golfing etiquette. Now I’m not a huge stickler when it comes…

Beautiful golf course in a Beautiful area. The prices are great. Only problem with the course is the bunkers are pretty hard so keep that in mind.

Great course! Beautiful place to play! Great people working hear! Watch out for the angry old guys, but Palisade’s is a great golf course in the middle of nowhere! If you are driving by you need to stop and play this course. Great golf pro at the course!

Oh my!! This was one of my very favorites of the 9 golf courses I played on my unforgettable Utah golf vacation. Played this exquisite course on Tuesday, 24 September, 2019. So many elevated tee boxes...so much fun...and such incredible views from them! At sunrise, the view west toward Gunnison Reservoir into the valley below from the signature #4 Tee is stunning, as are the views south toward Palisade Lake...especially from #15, 16, and 17. Proud to say I stuck the #4 with my 9-iron ~10' from the hole! Perhaps the most challenging greens I've ever played, especially #10 and 14. Fairways and g…

Fun course tucked away in the foothills with some fantastic views. The greens are almost impossible to read correctly, and the rough is super thick. It will knock your ball down and hold it hostage, so hitting the fairway is extra important here. Some tee boxes are on little plateaus, which was reminiscent of Wolf Creek (in the best way). Pros: Fairly well maintained, decent prices, and some VERY fun holes. Easy to access from the lake, and a pretty friendly staff. And the fantastic panoramic views, of course. Cons: The bunkers are basically cement — so, so hard. The carts are super smelly…

This is a great place to play golf in a pretty area away from the crowds. I really like some of the elevated tee shots on this track. I could spend half a day hitting tee shots on the fourth hole alone. My favorite holes are #4, #5, #11, #15, #16. This one is a workout if you want to walk.

Great course that is definitely fun to play. Drove the two and a half hours to the course from northern Utah and arrived quite a bit early but they were able to throw us on prior to a big group so that was really nice. The course was in great shape with quite a few really beautiful holes. As seen in other comments the greens....diabolical! Some of the tougher greens you'll see in Utah as you watch your ball hit the center of the green and just roll all the way to the edge, which made for a lot of laughing after others blow their putts by the hole. Only reason I gave it four stars instead of f…
