In summary

Millsite Golf Course is highly praised for its stunning scenery, challenging layout, and peaceful setting, making it a favorite among many golfers despite its remote location. The course is noted for its unique holes and rewarding challenges, though some visitors mention that the greens can be inconsistent due to harsh winters and past droughts. While most reviews commend the friendly and helpful staff, a few point out occasional issues with course maintenance and signage.

Love to play this golf course and I have a membership here. It is beautiful and very challenging. This course has some of the best views of any course I've played on. A lake with boats, mountains, desert plateaus, the Swell, deer, rabbits, prairie dogs, cliffs, ravines, sometimes a spill way, and the course itself isn't to bad! The winters here are rough, so the greens have a hard time coming back every year or so I'm told. But hey, I guess it just makes it even more challenging.

Course was in great shape! We played 54 holes on October 1, 2024. The course has a fun, challenging layout. Each hole is unique and you can be aggressive with riskier tee shots and be rewarded, or take the safe route to stay in play. I loved how quiet and peaceful the area was. Off the beaten path and the surrounding views were awesome. Worth the trip!

This is a super fun and challenging course and I would 100% recommend playing it! A few buddies and I went down for a day trip to play 18 and it was awesome. Be ready to be accurate or it could be a long day. I am a 12 handicap and shot 23 over here, so don’t sleep on the challenge. There are a lot of layup shots that you have to play in order to get over deserts and ravines that google maps doesn’t show you. Holes 17 & 18 are worth all of it with the views they have so don’t miss the back 9!

Prepare to hit the fairway with precision, as even a perfectly struck shot might still land you in a challenging spot. Millsite is a breathtakingly beautiful course, both demanding and visually stunning. The holes here are some of the most challenging I've encountered in a while. Hole #1 from the blues is a particularly daunting introduction. While the greens did have some invasive weeds, leading to a bumpy and unpredictable putting surface, this only adds to the course’s character and challenge. The staff member who assisted us was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Overall, I absolutely lo…

This course is so worth the effort to get there, from northern utah. If you've never been. You'll be amazed that there is even a course hidden in the landscape. The course went through a severe drought a few years ago. But it has been recovered amazingly. Honestly it's amazing the condition it's in. Well thought out tee shots are a must. Fairways are in great shape, and the greens are a bit slow, still in recovery. I will definitely make the trip to play this again and again. I can't say enough about it.

Incredible scenery. This course is quite challenging for a amateur, but they also makes it memorable and fun. Several holes hit across canyons or through them. The greens are very hard and fast. Plan on losing lots of balls. The literal hardness of the ground can easily make the ball bounce into the rough or out of bounds. Worth the drive! We had an absolute blast.

One of my favorite courses in Utah. Millsite is beautiful and fun to play. I wish it was closer to home. The course has never been in excellent shape when I've played here, but the layout and scenery made up for any dry spots. It's also far enough away from anything that it's never been overly busy when I've played. Almost every hole on the course is awesome. My favorites holes are #1, #2, #3, #7, #8, #14, #16, #17. I don't think you want to walk this one.

Played the afternoon of Wednesday 25 September, 2019. Pretty much had the course to myself, which was great! Very challenging, target style course..especially the back 9. Stunning views of the Millsite Reservoir and surrounding mountains. Fairways and greens were well maintained, however the 3rd and 4th holes have been reduced/redirected by dam rehabilitation. I never could find the 3rd hole, better signage would help. The spillway/waterfall was under construction and dry. The view of the 7th hole is spectacular from the 2nd fairway! The 17th hole is crazy! Friendly staff. I'll return to conqu…

The course itself is beautiful and very fun. Me and my brother had went and played 18 and the whole afternoon was fun! We had a run in with the “superintendent” Kyler on 17 and I’m not gonna say we were in the right but he definitely has an ego issue and thinks he can disrespect paying customers. We had asked about him at the front desk and we were told we weren’t the first to have issues with him. The young man at the front desk was very helpful so we appreciated him

Pretty decent 18 hole golf course on Millsite Reservoir. There is a dam reconstruction project going on in 2019, so the reservoir is nearly drained. There is no water going over the spillway, which is being replaced with new concrete. This spillway is what forms the waterfall you see in other pictures, and is visible from several of the holes on the golf course. Once the dam project is finished, there should be a nice river flowing through several of the holes as well. Plan to lose plenty of balls unless you are a great golfer! I will definitely golf here again when I'm in the area

This is one of my favorite courses. After reconstruction of the Millsite damn, the golf course has a few fairways and greens reconfigured and lots of new improvements to the course. I would definitely recommend this challenging course to anyone! PS, bring a lot of golf balls! 😉

Good course, good views, not always the best conditions, but it's worth it. Challenging fun round
